too bad green pulled a clottey but ward was impressive. I'm still not sold on this guy, I need to see more quality wins because while he has been impressive he has not yet been challenged for real and I think that has been due to the lack of effort from his opponents.

I think we will. Expect Ward to beat Dirrell at his own game. That's one way to soundly beat an awkward guy like Dirrell who likes to have it his way, if you have the ability to flip his world around on him. Ward is a bit slower than Dirrell. He'll make that differential invisible with his smarts and timing. And Dirrell is not really that smart a fighter. I didn't see smartness or ring-generalship against Froch or AA when the going got tough. Ward is way more intelligent in the ring and is way better in all mental departments. I do give the ring IQ edge to Ward but I dont think Dirrell is too far behind him. Ward's mental toughness will more than likely be the deciding factor in their match up. But I do think that Dirrell controlled the AA fight more than yu're giving him credit for. He knew that AA comes on stronger as the fight proresses and gave more lateral movement as the rounds went on. When AA caught him with the cheap shot Dirrell was coasting to a sure fire victory.

respectfully i disagree.....i see Direll as untapped potential......the guy can box, trained in Michigan (long history of producing smart boxers) and he has excellent amatuer pedigree. I really think he can be very very good. He had his back against the wall coming into the AA fight and he responded......he was towelling Abraham up before the DQ. He is still inexperienced....the more and more he fights the better he will get. I'm with you on this here Check. Dirrell is a very smart Boxer, probably the smartest one that Ward will have faced thus far in his young career. This fight won't be the Andre Ward drubbings that we are becoming accustomed to. It'll be a very competetive fight IMHO, and we might see A. Ward do more outside fighting because of the style match up.

I get you, man, but my post is as much a reaction to anyone who thinks Ward is the goods being accused of buying into a hype or overrating him. Some of us who dig this guy have been watching him for a minute, too, so we know what he's made of. Ward was always kicking Green's ass. Green isn't in his Arena. Dirrell is a flaky joker comparative to Ward. There, I said it. If Ward loses to that guy, hell, I'll lock myself out of this account and never return in any form except reader. Exactly, man. You nailed it. BTW, pullcounter is a DUMMY. Pullcounter is a bandwagoner and will support fighters who are "hot" and on a roll. And yes....PULLCOUNTER is a DUMMY!!!!!!

Why would any sane promoter pay Green "to lose", when they could get that service for absolutely free? I don't want to see Green fight again. As I said earlier, I hope Green is removed from the tournament and Kessler is given two points. Actually I take that back. I want to see Kessler KO this heartless so called bully, and put his career to bed. Sorry if I'm a bit harsh, but I stayed up until 4am to watch a fight between two warriors and was left very disappointed in what I saw.

This is why Froch can't win. HE also has no clue how to fight inside............ Ward vs Dirrell will be the final matchup. Arthur is the dark horse.

You said you wouldn't be surprised if Green beat Ward? So therefore you must have thought he was "good enough", if less talented? I said Ward would box the ears off this guy and make him back down. It was obvious, on styles. And Green's rep as a finisher and a big, bad punching threat is based pretty much off the way he annihilated Codrington. How was he ever going to get to land a lot of big shots at Ward like he did Jaidon? Who would assume that if he tagged Ward with something decent that Ward would react as Codrington did (back up into the ropes in a straight line with a weak guard)? Green never beats Ward. Never. In defense of jrosales he was saying it in response to people speculating that the fight was fixed. The truth is it simply came down to Green not being good enough to compete with Ward.

So what were the scores? I never bothered to find another stream after the eighth.

ppl see one ward fight and they understand his style. lol...the kid is a prodigy that much is clear. he fought in a way no1 thought he could and he did his thing. dunno y ppl dnt like him. hes the real deal. yeah right, so you saw none of this in the kessler fight? BS. you enjoy smothering fighters?? cuz i dont and that is a KEY part of ward's style.
