his best days are behind him. no way he will ever be able to get back what he once had. as much as i'd love to see him fight again, i'm glad he isnt. i'm good with pulling out the old vhs tapes and rewatching the great fights he had.
He looked like shit against Forbes. He said it himself, the first day of sparring for Pac, he knew he didnt have it anymore. He hoped he would improve as the camp progressed, but it didnt happen.
Leave the man alone.
I saw a recent interview in which he said he walks around 156 these days. Of course, If I were him I'd be hardpressed to leave that chick's side to go get tagged in the face and clinching with sweaty men.
no one's talking about a hopkins rematch in this thread, man

He wasnt weight drained when he foght Forbes and Forbes was tagging him quite a bit. Of course DLH won but it wasnt pretty against a smaller guy, with very little skill
Forbes is VERY SKILLED, are you a boxing fan?
De La Hoya-Margarito would be a GREAT fight.... the tagline could be that De La Hoya wants to save the Mexican honor from Margarito...or somehting.
DLH-Cotto is a good fight too. DLH-JCC JR isn't a bad event either.
Nothing at 147 though obviousley
victor ortiz aint vicious anymore :/
I agree with this but he's never faught defensively and giving him the ability to defend in three fights is good so that he can switch the style up in any fight if he is ever put in the Maidana situarion again...going back to oscar he should fight at 154 with mid level fighters and then take on Margarito, Cotto, or rematch floyd, and step up to Martinez
