de la hoya disliKE by mexicans fans WHY?

i like de la hoya and im mexican.

Im Mexican, and It has nothing to do with his being Mexican/American...It has more to do with the embarrasing losses he took while sporting the Mexican Flag....Ahh,:sad: Im ashamed just thinking about it.

A few reasons: 1- He is as fake as they come 2- He doesn't look mexican 3- He doesn't want to be looked at as a mexican 4- Ran against Tito 5- Married a Puerto rican (can't blame him for that) 6- Lives in Puerto Rico 7- He looks gay & last but not least http://chuvachienes.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/09/oscar.jpg

It was because of a variety of things, he beat Chavez, who is a Mexican idol but it wasn't just because beat Chavez, he had a pretty bitter feud with Chavez back then and of course the Mexican people stood behind Chavez so when DLH beat Chavez the second time there was quite a lot of bitterness there. And when the Mexican people actually did get behind him he ran from Trinidad in the last few rounds.

Oscar didn't have any problems with fans south of the border til he beat Chavez. That was enough.

ODLH is very white washed and Americanized, that's why they hate him. They like guys like JCC and morales who have the warrior spirit. Also I think they're jealous of his good looks.

I am not sure, I think it may be about the Mexican American thing... cause from what I see quite a few guys look at him as a fake Mexican, I also think that him beating JCC couldn't have helped... they looked up to him.
