Boxing News: Pacquiao vs. Mayweather Jr. Boxing Odds Adjusted: Despite almost getting put to sleep by Shane Mosley on Saturday night, the price on Floyd Mayweather Jr. to beat Manny Pacquiao has inflated. The Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather Jr. boxing odds opened up favoring Mayweather by the slimmest of margins at -120 on boxing betting money line but has risen 30 points to -150 after Mayweathers wide points win over Shane Mosley. Mayweather showed that he is not invincible after a sledgehammer Shane Mosley right hand almost stained the “Pretty Boy’s” perfect record, but the general consensus is that Floyd will be too big for the smaller framed Manny Pacquiao. The bout has not been made yet due to steroid testing disputes but expect a deal to be done before the end of 2010 for what would be the biggest money fight in boxing history. Below is a closer look at how these two top pound-4-pound boxers match-up according to our boxing picks team of experts.
I guess most people aren't as stupid as these idiots on here...
It's a common theme. Nobody bets on Pac and then he comes around, stuns the world, and the excuses are made out the ass. Seriously, the odds were against him vs Oscar, Hatton, Cotto, and many thought Clottey would be his first official WW come up test that would shock him. All failed. This will be the same. Infact, Manny thrives off beating the odds. I could only wish everyone bets against him and let him know that. If one thing I've learned following Manny's career, it's that he loves a challenge and upsetting the odds. The higher the risk or challenge, the more dangerous he becomes...
this maybe true, but if floyd is not fighting at a ridiculous catch weight, because team Pac was fooled into thinking Floyds legs are shot and he is scared or a coward. Then that means this turkey has been fattened up for the slaughter.
You must be referring to your fellow, stupid flomos.
People betting on Floyd to win are what you call normal people. They believe these stupid, ridiculous super extra ped testing demands are unnecessary. Especially when it's based on evil, manufactured accusations without any shred of proof.
At least Pac fans have shown that they want to see the fight desperately. In contrast, we have seen Flomos' strange behavior here. What with all those stupid cut-off expiration and purse split advantage. It certainly looked like they are blocking the fight from happening out of fear for their idol. It's embarrassing.
Pac fans have none of that shit. Win or lose.
I think you're taking this whole thing way too personal, dude.
The thread is only about betting odds can we not mention PEDs for once

good points, but cmon, no normal person had clottey over pac loc, never the less good to see a pacquiao fan that explains the situation other than saying "gayweather" in every sentence, im not to sure on this, this will def be May's hardest challenge, ive saved about 3 g's to bet on may at a local casino, hope the odds are closer tho, in 190 for may right now, but when 24 7 kicks in it should get closer
Floyd is perceived by most as the better fighter so he'll be the favorite. Last time when negotiations started it was an even money fight with Pac being a slight favorite. So many people locked in money on Floyd that he became the instant favorite. He will be the favorite and late money will be laid on Pac. I'm gonna put money on Floyd to win by KO

The greatest authority in boxing, or so they say, Ted Atlas, made predictions in favor of almost all of Manny's opponents. Only to be proven wrong every time.
This is no rocket science, needless to say. You don't rely on so-called authorities to decide who is going to win or lose. You rely on your guts. You've seen them fight individually, so it's all up to you to decide. Personally, I don't know. To me, it's dead even.
Its because most people dont bet real money just because they like a guy. I liked Gatti but I bet on Mayweather to stop him. My only question is if I should bet on Floyd to stop Pac or UD him. I think with how wild and "leapy" Pac will get that Floyd has a real chance of catching him with something huge coming in. That check hook may be back for another highlight real style ko.
Odds change in Vegas constantly, early betters usually jump on Floyd early. Take the DLH/Floyd fight, I went in and just bet on the underdog who was DLH at the time. That was the night before, come Saturday Floyd was a 2-1 underdog, it went 1.5-1 Floyd favored to 2-1 DLH favored all overnight, this means nothing. At some point people are going to think damn... I have to put down 250 to win back $100, on top of my $250 back. But if I put $100 on Manny I get $200 plus my $100 back, it'll even out when the fights made it means nothing.
odds are almost dead even. this is like trying to pick an NFL divisional game...say Giants vs. Cowboys.
If it's in NY, NY is -3. If it's at Dallas, DAL is -3. That's pretty much the maximum points allowance.
It'll be a safe bet either way. Floyd will be the ever so slight favorite since he just beat the #1 ranked WW.
The favorite fight i win big is in the dela hoya fight where pac is a huge underdog and now with his fight with floyd another easy money win for me. I feel sorry for the one who bet against pac. LOL.
he means real money
wow... I mean Real money... take 3 steps away from the computer buddy...
I will bet all my money on pac, this will be an easy money win. If you can't see it, it's your lose........
let me understand this....are you saying pac fans arent normal people?
Normal people believe these stupid, ridiculous ped testing demands are unnecessary. Normal people don't believe in Popeye the sailor man.
This thread is null. I also have a couple grand saved up to bet on Pac.
I'm also willing to put $1,000 with any respected NSB member on here. Boxingscene sanctioned.i'll take that bet. How do we go about it?
