Reason why I think his punches didn't have the pop is cause most likely he wasn't trying to go for the knock out. Also he was moving a lot more as well. My 2cs. Anything else?? If you was caught with plaster in your gloves, you would try to make your punches hard and go for the knock out to show people you do not need plaster to knock opponents out. Not trying to go for a knock out makes no sense what so ever.

Cotto was fed a 1 legged bum and still couldnt k.o him clean. It took him 2 rounds to hunt down a 1 legged fighter. marg is cottos daddy Actually Cotto hurt him before he hurt his knee however this is the excuse for what was already a sure loss.... He had like a year layoff but I think he was realistically using plaster for years and without it, he is going to look human now. I don't know if Cotto would beat him or not but if he fights Pac, given his come forward style, he is going to take a beating and without plaster, he might not be able to hurt Manny enough to back him off.

After watching this entire horrible performance by margarito, I can now safely say that he has been using plaster wraps his entire career. Mosley officially cracked this mans jaw. Cotto would destroy Margarito now Just look at the difference in skill This was Margarito after a year off and I thought he looked pretty good, considering that. Definitely not shot and I don't think Cotto will ever match up well with Margarito. Cotto showed some vulnerable moments himself and is fortunate that Foreman is not a hard puncher. The lay off might have actually helped Margarito. He needed a break after two brutal fights back to back.

LOL at people saying they'd rather see Margarito vs Pacquiao than Pacquiao vs Cotto. Margarito is done, he has taken two consecutive beatings by Cotto and Mosley. regardless of who you think is shot(personally i wasn't impressed with Cotto & i haven't seen the Marg fight in full) I'd love to see a rematch.

Exactly, it's about styles. We all know Cotto is the more skilled fighter but that doesn't mean he will win. I think Marg get's hit a lot with Cotto but I also think Cotto get's hit a lot with Marg. I don't think either one is the same fighter as before and in seeing the Cotto vs Foreman fight, the few times Foreman had success, is when he was pushing Cotto backwards. Cotto is not the same fighter going backwards, he's just not and Marg does nothing but come forward and absorb shots. Personally, I think we would see the same type fight and I even think Marg would KO him sooner. Unless Marg is shot but he didn't look shot to me, he looked rusty but over a year out of the ring will do that to you. cmon now dude, If you know in the later rounds when your gloves start to pack down and you know if you hang in there you can do some severe damage, youll take the heat just to dish t back in the long run for the KO. he obviously isnt the same man anymore. I dont buy it. Cotto hit him with prefect shots, but didnt have the power to hurt him. SMM did have the power. I dont think Marg shook off Cottos shots because he had handwraps. But, its possible because he didnt have handwraps against SMM, he didnt have the punch to slow down and weaken SMM like he did Cotto. Maybe its possible Cotto could have eventually broken down Marg if he wasnt busted up, but i doubt that.

Yeah but YURI FOREMON sends chills with his devasting power nobody wants to fight him.You fight on hbo and now your great and better than everybody else. I'm not making that comparison. I'm not saying anything about comparing Cotto's fight to this one. Stay on the point. He fought a guy...who has fought nobody...to say he went up against a guy with an iron chin (simply because he's never been knocked out...well duh...there's lots of fighter who never fought anybody who haven't been knocked out), great stamina, good skill, is completely disengenious. Until Marg KOs someone with authority again, I will hold my breath. Out of 45 bouts, Marg has 27KOs..there have been fighters with much higher KO %, both out of wins and total fights. Because Marg is not a power boxer, he's a volume boxer, and yes, his wins are suspect no. Period. He is guilty until he proves he can KO a top fighter again.
