Hence Manny's stick therapy was born. Marquez's punches to the body to Pac did bother him a bit, though the rest is history.
This is wrong. Kid Kulafu's stick training exists before he became a champion.
I think the biggest problem for Chavez wouldn't be Pacquiao's speed or power, but his foot work.
With this said, Chavez isn't a slow moving zombie like Margarito, he can move forward pretty fast, that's why he was great at applying pressure. I think he could wear Pacquiao down enough with his notorious infamous body shots.
I think Chavez could stop pacquiao late in the fight.
I wouldn't be surprised if Pacquiao pulled off an upset decision though.
I definitely don't think Pacquiao stops Chavez.... maybe with a cut if anything
Pacquiao via UD or SD, Chavez took bombs from Meldrick and he had incredible hand speed like Pac... I don't think Chavez can pressure him enough under 12 rds with Manny's foot work and speed. Both are VERY durable fighters, both would take a great amount of punishment in this fight.
do you know why it's hard to breakdown a pac fantasy fight? coz the fcker always brings something new every damn fight.
from right hooks, to uppercuts, to boxing around, having chin at higher weights, pac is at this point almost unpredictable every new fight.
LOL pacquiao is the same fighter who lost to JMM 2 times + power and speed but boxing skills?? the same...

Chavez TKO11. Camacho was way faster than Pacquiao. So the speed is not a problem for Chavez. Chavez took huge bombs from Edwin Rosario who was twice the puncher Pacquiao is.
I say either pac close UD or Chavez TKO11
Pacquiao have a lot more power and his style isn't like Camacho. I see a fight like the Barrera, Ud or late stopped

Not really.
Pacquiao 90% of the time goes for the head. 10% to the body. 90% of the time it will be straights. 5% hooks, 5% uppercuts. When fighting a mobile opponent, he bounces and then stops to punch. Very linear with an in-and-out style. When fighting stationary opponents, he doesn't have to do much. He simply waits for the opponent to open up and then assaults them. Which is why when he fought Clottey, he didn't know what the shit to do. As evident from his double punch attempt. He was lost. Isn't exactly the hardest thing to punch either.
Not that hard to compare and contrast that to another fighter.
^^^^ Exactly.
You idiots saying Pac never wins fantasy fights. How about explaining why you think Pacquiao would win instead of going stupid. And you guys wonder why he can't get an edge? How about giving a valid reason why he would win. Oh, or is it that you guys don't know how to breakdown fights?

I don't know man, I haven't seen anyone attack Pacquiao's midsection since Erik Morales and Marquez. We do know Mayweather throws uppercuts, and straight right hands down the middle, I guess we'll have to wait.
Don't forget the poison that is injected from his jab to the body.
No one ever notices it. But it neutralizes all of his opponents at WW. Most recently Mosley. When Floyd jabbed the body, Mosley all of a sudden died standing.
Bro I'm not basing this solely on the Cotto fight. I have seen sparring videos of him letting guys land flush on his midsection. I just can't see Pac getting hurt by body shots here and there. Maybe an accumulation over the course of several rounds, but then again I don't see Chavez landing that many body shots on Pacquiao. Just my two cents though and how I see things.
Also Pac didn't work on his midsection until after the Marquez II fight I believe (that stick thing) and also did a lot of core training with Ariza around that time.

You been here since 08, and it's lately that I've seen you post. Did you go by a different name before? Just asking.
Anyway,
PLEASE re watch Pacquiao vs. Cotto. You'll come to find out that Cotto didn't land anything to the body, Pacquiao's elbows were well tucked in. You'll also notice that Pacquiao's midsection was wide open, Marquez and Morales were able to land there/ hurt Pacquiao to the body. Chavez is a much better body puncher then Cotto, and he'll actually throw down the middle.

Honestly I'm staying outta this for obvious reason, but I will say this; In no way do I see JCC hurting Manny with body shots. The way Manny has re-defined his core allows him to eat those like M&M's. Now if Chavez landed repeatedly through the course of the fight then maybe, but I can't see him landing a ton of those and the ones he does land, Manny handles with no problems. Just my opinion though.....
