that is your definition of purse !...i dont think it is the definition of the commision ...
Its not my personal definition. I'm just trying to explain it. If you don't agree or feel I'm wrong thats fine with me.
the commison rules never mention salary or bonus or anytinglik that.. it jsut says purse!...and ppv is part of the purse...that is why they call it purse split!
I was only using that as an example. If the fight isn't on ppv there is no ppv% to be made. There is no extra money if the fight is on espn or hbo or showtime. The purse split is divided up before any other income is factored. The purse is the guaranteed amount the fighter receives before any additional money.
When the fight ends the fighter gets a check, the purse. When the ppv and other sales are calculated 2 weeks later, then the fighters get another check. The amount you hear on TV (i.e. floyd made $35 mil for ssm) is just an estimate until the final #'s are calculated
He may have gone in slight underdog against Corrales.......or it may have been slight favourite.........but the shortest odds for an opponent since then has been Hatton..........It was definitely Corrales...Diego was p4p number 5 at the time. Floyd was just coming up -- Floyd beat him like he stole something that night. A virtuoso performance.
where do you get that idea you dont count it?....
Because the purse is separate. As an example if floyd ssm had done 3mil ppv or 100k ppv floyd's purse, $22.5 mil was unchanged. The total amount earned, purse +ppv sales+ live gate % would be changed.
Also, when two fighters can't reach a deal there is usually a purse bid where fighters are awarded a % of the purse. The purse is split 55%-45% etc. This split doesn't factor in the amount made from theaters, ppvs etc.
But you don't count the ppv sales etc as the purse. In floyd's last fight his purse was $22.5 mil. After they factored in ppv sales, live gate, and the money he received b/c he is promoter, then his total was approx $35-$40 mil.
The purse for each fighter is expected to be about $25 mil. 25% of 25 mil is $6.25 mil.
you fagget mother****er. did you read section 467.522??? the only allowably finable icome is the purse not the ppv residuals. the agreed purses for may and pac is 25 million a peice. gad damn dumb ****ing retarded ass mother ****. god damnitt you are one ignorant son of a bitch...
LOL.. this Guy wont admit anything negative about pac or anything positive about Floyd. He will just play dumb and run u around in circles.
I've got the Corrales fight and I'm sure Lampley or Merchant say Mayweather was the betting favourite.
Merchant says 6-5 odds in Floyd's favor or something along those lines, then Lampley says "but it's getting closer in the late betting".
Either it was dead even, or it was slightly in someones favor. Not many expected what happened though.
your right man when theyre faced with clear cut proof they just close their eyes and yell their lies even louder. pactards hate truth like vampires hate sunlight.
That's why I stayed away from threads like this.
your face, your ass, whats the difference? but i digress in the link following read 467.522 and 467.030 these are the nsac rules and regulations on maximum allowable fines to be charged to a fighter coming in 2lbs overweight. the maximum allowable fine is 25% MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FINE 25% of the fighters purse. mayweathers and pacquiaos agreed purse size thus far is 25 million each. thats there purse which is the only finable income allowed for coming in overweight their ppv residuals can not be included. pacquiao wanted 10 million per pound over 147 when the nevada law clearly states, if you ****ing read the link this time, that is if you can read, that the fine can only be incurred at 2lbs over the agreed weight. according to pacquioas demands he demands more than 25% of mayweathers purse for just one pound over. thats breaking commission rules. the same commission rules that he loves to defend except when it goes against whatever lie he is telling that day.

Bro there's really no point anymore.
Corrales was the underdog! He was easily hit and considered too slow. In his title winning bout with Robert Garcia, Garcia was outboxing him bad before making the mistake of going for the ko with Corrales.
I do believe Genaro Hernandez was the favorite even though he was outboxed badly by Oscar previously. Hernandez had since beat the aged Nelson and Mayweather was still green.
Floyd outboxed him even more badly.............
