After watching a set of Muhammad Ali tapes these past few months, khan has just become the equivalent of utter trash to me. After looking at Ali taking punches to the chin I feel partly ashamed and embarrased. The above statement was one of the many factors which has lead me to disreguard Khan at this present moment in time.
Is this going to be a consistent pattern in khans career?
"But lets face it, the big question was, can he take world class punches? If he can't then there's not a future. But you can't...you...you...you...you can't put that on a young man of 21 at this stage of his career":nonono:
The difference Between Diamond and glass:
It hurts me to do this to someone who shares my faith, but it has to be done:
Muhammad Ali absorbs shotgun Blasts from the consensus hardest hitter of all time:
9:45
what do you think?
I can't believe that this is what boxing has been reduced to.
No one has made any attempt at ressurecting the duran/leonard/hearns era.
Sugar ray leonard and Thomas hearns never ducked each other. Now compare this with the B****ing that is going on in the 140 division.
You would be foolish not to notice a big difference in size of balls between the fighters of that era and this current one.
"If we ressurected Wilfredo Benitez RIGHT NOW in the 140 dvivison, I can guarantee you that everyone in that divsion would scatter like headless chickens and retire. GUARENTEED."
This guy would shatter khans glass chin by eye piercing staredown. If He had Ray Leonard tensing up in his muscles, It would be scary to think what he would do to khan without even laying a fist on him.
"We need another braveheart like Sugar Ray Leonard. It's a shame it won't happen in the 21st century."
Nowadays it's all about ducking, dodging, padded records, canned fights and propaganda stunts.
Sorry I digressed, the thread is still primarily about khan.
This..................:boxing:
He is not confident in unifying the division, which is why he is picking on lightweights, to retain his cash cow status.
"Don't hatchet your counts before they chicken."
Actually, it means "Don't count your chickens before they hatch". An old joke. Sorry, i didn't mean to confuse you.
Don't hatchet your counts before they chicken.
Best way to judge a fighter is only AFTER he retires or passes away. You may not like how Khan operates right now, but who knows? He might actually surprise you and beat a serious contender or champion. The opposite may also be true in that he may continue to disappoint you.
Nonetheless, regularly checking on a fighter and judging him on a regular basis may be a good way to pass the time. Its definitely better than gambling your money away or raping someone. Who am i to judge?

So basically you saw videos of Ali fighting and you decided you don't like Khan because he isn't as good as Ali? By that logic you probably don't like many boxers.
Ali is a legend, Khan is a 23 year old kid. have some perspective.
get your head out off your ass and read my thread carefully.
luckily, nobody cares for your militant pro nigerian criticism, but thanks for the post.
Luckily no one cares about your retardation. But thanks for trolling another one of my threads.
Too true.
Khan was on PPV before he was a top contender trying to con the public.
In his first fight on PPV he got what he deserved he got KOed by Prescott in the first round. Previously he had been saying IM better than Diaz and Pacquiao and that he deserved a title opportunity.

utter rubbish
Khan said it himself, he only wants to fight over the hill fighters to avoid big threats.
when I read that article on GQ it was a classic face-palm moment for me. I mean, how stupid do you have to be to admit something like that?
yeah GBP is being selective on his opponents but i dont blame them because he is one of their cashcow ^^ i just hope GBP will let Khan fight one of these three fighters (Bradley,Alexander,Maidana) next year if not this year ^^
I don't think they are going to risk that, judging by his chin
