Against Malignaggi....he has an opponent who brings excellent boxing ability, a brand name yet brings nothing in terms of power that could seriously hurt Judah.
Top it all off...they wouldn't dare put this on PPV....
Very winnable fight for Zab...get him back on the map...atmosphere for the fight would be CRAZY
I don't see this fight getting a lot of play in the boxing world but it should be huge in NY.
Ill take Pauli, only cuz Zab slows down as the fight progresses and Pauli has an iron chin. I don't see Zab ko'ing him.
Side note.....I need a hug from the chick in your avi....

The fight would belong on HBO BAD.....and I agree with the fight not getting alot of play OUTSIDE of NY...but hey....sometimes the best fights are the ones that no one really sees.
Disagree on Zab slowing down....Paulie's never been a pressure fighter...footwork and his jab are key...but he would most likely be waiting and trying to counter Zab until about the 7th/8th.
I mean dam...Cotto couldn't finish him off, Hatton couldn't, Khan couldn't....highly doubt Zab can....
Itwould be a great way to expose other Brooklyn fighters like Sadam Ali, Adam Kownacki. Both up and coming guys from Brooklyn.
excellent idea....an all Brooklyn fight card....

I like both of them. Imagine the atmosphere is this fight happened at the Garden or in the new Nets stadium being built in BK. It would be live
That is what i'm sayin.....
Zab is on the comeback trail. He is still young and I'm sure he has alot left in him if he chooses to train right and show his abilities.
I'm starting to think that Zab needs a change of scenery...aka New Trainer....kind of like Mosley and his dad....he built up his son to the best of his ability....and has peaked....
Time to hire someone that can squeeze out that last bit of skills and potential...and if your current trainer can't do it....no need to waste a couple of fights to see if "you still got it". Get someone of worth (Steward, Floyd Sr., McGirt) and let's see what happens....
zab toys with paulie.......zab only struggles vs guys who presures the fukk out of him that have some type of pop in their punches...paulie is far from that!
very true! I cant see paulie doing anywhere near as good as zab against Clottely! Zab would have nothing to fear and would step in with his full artillary, Maybe even stopping paulie. would be a great build up tho!
I would rather see Collazo fight Judah, that would be a good matchup. Malignaggi is a gatekeeper at best now.
Collazo / Judah is a good matchup too....but if it happened at 147lbs...advantage Collazo....
And is Collazo not the definition of a "gatekeeper"?
Winner of Judah / Malignaggi gets Collazo @ 147lbs....doubt he'll drop to 140lbs. for a fight with two other "gatekeepers".
Paulie has a chin and speed but before Zab's layoff he was the fastest WW and hits the hardest according to cotto( whose blocked many punches with his face from the best WW).
Paulie has always had a chin....
Against a "green" Cotto (I remember watching that fight)....Paulie was fighting with a broken something (jaw/cheekbone?) BUT was still able to land quite nicely on Cotto until the bell rang. Now that either says Paulie has brass marbles....or Cotto's power is underrated....and I honestly think its the previous.
Against Hatton....he took flush EVERYTHINGs from the Hitman....jabs, counters even the kitchen sink....yet was still able to defend himself...and was never visibly "hurt".....
Khan....he took a beating...and again...never really looked hurt...more so dis-couraged....
Regarding Cotto's comments.....Zab when he is focused....is one of the best I've seen ever....unfortunately....Zab staying focused in a fight has become less and less of an occurance. He has been given multiple chances on the big stage, only to fall short....but there is still a slight chance that he might return to the form we all know and appreciate him for....and that chance could come against Paulie.....
Baldomir isn't a feather fist man who likes to get hit in the face.
Paulie has speed, Zab can match it. Paulie can't hurt Zab. So, Zab won't get discouraged.
Zab wins.
Paulie has a chin and speed but before Zab's layoff he was the fastest WW and hits the hardest according to cotto( whose blocked many punches with his face from the best WW).
Zab, despite his lay off...Paulie doesn't have the power to hurt Zab and unless paulie gets mercante to allow him to hit low, Zab whoops his ass.
Two left hook bombs to the nuts didn't help either.
Dont forget the headbutt.
