Name another fighter constantly going up in weight talking about how his POWER will get the job done for him, Ive never heard a fighter say that other than Pac, they will say speed, movement, whatever, never power, its totally backwards as far as boxing goes. You didnt have this same drive and determination when 14 days was on the table at one time and Pac was still asking for a month, now youre a whole new man, congrats. :lol1: who says Pacquiao carries his power up to his current weight? he still has the same punching power he had before going up the only thing he carries up is his speed, his opponents cannot see where his punches are coming from

From a business point of view Pacquiao cannot make the sort of money Mayweather makes fighting the same opponents, Mayweather would make more money fighting Clottey than what Pacquiao made against Clottey, Mayweather can fight anyone and make more money than Pacquiao can and it has been proven that Mayweather is a bigger draw than Pacquiao and Mayweather is a draw on his own. There is a reason why Mosley made $6M guarantee the highest he has ever made, Has Pacquiao even made $20M guarantee yet without any PPV add-ons? Mayweather can fight Martinez and make a lot more money also. A fighter's purse is nothing more than a guarantee. That is why you call it a guaranteed purse, which means even if the fight didnt make money you are still goin to make what is stated in your guaranteed purse. Whatever is add on to that purse will depend on the ppv buys after Time Warner, HBO, and the promoters take their cut of the PPV buys. Plus it also depend on how much you were already guaranteed. For example, if the fighter's purse is 22 Million, and the share (from the PPV buys) for the fighter is 25 Million, then the fighter is only entitled to get 3 Million because he already received 22M from his guaranteed purse. So the bigger the purse, the less upside on PPV shares the fighter goin' to receive. So Pac made almost the same amount in the Cotto than what Floyd made with Mosley fight even though Floyd's purse is bigger than Pac because despite having a lower purse, the disparity of the PPV buys between Pac/Cotto and Mosley/Mayweather were not that much. And do you know that its actually more advantageous to get a lower guaranteed purse? Because all the shares that you give to the IRS, managers, trainers, co-trainers, will be cut based on the guaranteed purse and not the PPV shares. But a loss for Pac is not nearly as devastating as a loss for Floyd. Legacy-wise, he's already chasing Pac. His main argument at greatness is the fact that he's never lost, without that, he's just anther great fighter with alot of money and questionable resume. His whole identity is wrapped around being undefeated You're right, Pac is not the favorite. That's why I think he wants this fight, he's not scared of losing, at least not as much as Floyd. Pac is supposed to lose according to the experts. Pac really has nothing to lose (except the fight). He's already loss to no name scrubs so Losing to Floyd Mayweather is nothing to be ashamed of.
