Cotto looked slow and shot, yah he has a jab but he is no where near what he was b4 margarito. Watch the fight again his legs are not there, reflexes are not there doesnt even go to the body any more. Pac will murder him, martinez will murder him, mosley at 154 will beat him to. Cottos done son
Cotto was barely a 2-1 favorite in this fight, so much so Atlas, Steve Kim and a slew of other experts were picking Foreman. And those that did pick Cotto, most felt it would be a very close Cotto win. He does far more than was expected and the TS makes a comment that Cotto's legs are gone? Yea, maybe if you watched the Clottey and Pac fights and simply saved to start that thread till this fight. How can you not see Cotto gliding across the ring with perfect balance, he wasn't plodding at all and he would stay balanced to throw 3-4 punch combo's... Yea his skill obviously got 10x's better since his last two fights, but he's shot.
Everyone please realize that alot of KIDS:bottle: troll around this site & obviously dont know anything about boxing. We adults are better off ignoring them babies, now go eat dinner, your mama is calling ya.

I disagree.... Red K sent, cunt.:tragedy:
He didn't look shot at all. He looked as good as he could have against Foreman, everyone knew the styles didn't favour Cotto, but he did what he had to do.
i agree with this.
my only problem watching the fight, and this is nothing new, is that cotto gets hit to much. i'd like to see him brush up on his D a bit.
as for his legs being "gone," i didn't see that. i saw him deliberately (and successfully) follow a guy around the ring, in an attempt to cut off the ring. i thought his footwork was fine, and he wasn't making any unnecessary movements. instead of actually "chasing" foreman, i thought he did a good job of "stalking" him, and picking his shots. more than anything, i saw a more disciplined cotto.
dude's still trouble for anybody from 147 to 154, IMO.
Cotto is shot.
Expect him to fight more featherfisted part time fighter full time rabbis in the future.
Cotto will get destroyed by any contender, he can only beat journeymen and past prime fighters from now on.
And who can Margocheato beat?
Who knows what hes putting in his gloves in Mexico.
So Cotto is gonna line up a big fight and Margo can't even fight in the USA.
Your boys a fraud and a cheat.
Live with it.
listen if the boxing media wasnt talking about cotto being shot, then nobody wouldve followed.....to say cotto was shot after 2 losses is dispicable...and to still say he is shot after foreman is really downplaying cotto and his respect....sure we will know for sure when he fights a marg, a pac 2nd time, or martinez or whatever....but i still see cotto in the mix like he was before fighting pac and after....Cotto maybe mentally a lil hurt but not shot....Though we must see how he fights backwards again...but make your own Valid assessments instead of FOLLOWING what others say like atlas, even steward, i hate when they talk prematurely about somebody's career....
Why dont they see this?
These newbies come in here with posts and try to sound logical
and wasnt Foreman too big for Cotto Blah blah blah......like De la Hoya was too big for pac right........Fake ass Assessment saying cotto is shot....the only thing that cotto still has trouble with regardless the foreman fight is speed, footwork, pressure.....though i dont think cotto is shot but i do think he loses by decision in a second pacquiao affair but not as badly as the first time...and with marg, he will have to be ultra offensive, defensive, and movement to beat marg.......even if they say marg hands were wrapped...(cotto's punches did nothing to stop margarito a bit in his tracks)...marg's head cant wear handwraps and with his offensive arsenal that can lead to another loss if marg comes in with the same mentality ''your punches cant hurt me''

If this thread was on paper it'd be crumbbled and trashed.
He doesnt go to the body but closed it with his signature punch? hm.-1
I dont think ppl understand the magnitude of a movement like yuri has and to stop him on his tracks. It's a difficult style.Considering cotto making a debut at that weight he chose the right opponent.Ive been saying this all along, cotto has an underatted jab that alot of ppl dont see.The same jab that snap mosley's head back and the one that knocked clotty down.
Your pretty much done son.

Martinez, maybe. But Mosley aint beating Cotto specially not @ 154
I tell you this:If Foreman had the jab Miguel would have been in big trouble.
I thought Miguel looked fantastic....his jab was amazing and he moved very well.
Anytime you have a shorter guy out jabbing you your in big trouble thats why I knew Foreman had no chance.
Same jab that dropped Clottey.
I was going to say the same thing....he has a great jab
about being shot...maybe just a different game plan from a new coach
i think he looked good was moving well just need to work more on defense from that overhand right and he is still leading with his head so he is open to the uppercut
hopefully steward will see that and atleast correct his ability to defend the overhand right
The kid also took flush right hands from Santos.
A faded Santos.
He still had power and Foreman took it well.
I think Cotto's speed surprise him.
Later after the jabs he took some flush left hooks and uppercuts.

Some analogy, how you are going to hit a target that moved so much on the body. And in the end the body blow stopped the fight. IMO he looked good with somebody that could move so well
I wasnt all that impressed with Cotto's performance either. He was fighting a guy with Bambi legs. Cotto was knocking him back with jabs for christ sakes. That fight should have been over in 4-5 rounds tops.
Same jab that dropped Clottey.
Cotto looked fine.
His footwork looked much improved.
The Jab was great.
My only concern is that his face got bruised up to easily.
Like RJJ said he couldn't get the left hook off because of the constant movement of Foreman.
You're entire argument is garbage son.
