After careful review, i have to say Cotto nailed him perfectly, Whats your take.
#side observation Authur basically blocked the wet corner by preventing both fighters from entering, great move.
# Yuri seeked the wet corner as a possible fall down and rest area
# The Towel was called by buffer as follow "an outsider thre the towel in, yet it was a member of the Foreman camp.
Unlikely.
He was catching up to him.
Yuri was somewhat slowing down.
He may have caught him later.
But I think its more likely that yuri would have survived to the final bell.
i dont think so cotto was hurting yuri with his jab in the 1st round he almost had knockdown yuri had to hold on to the ropes for a second there
here's a follow-up question: would cotto have landed that perfect liver shot if yuri's knee didn't give out?

While it shouldn't be surprising that people here are bad talking Foreman, it sure is disgraceful.
The guy is a good fighter, not amazing but he is def a skilled fighter. He went out like a champ. I really hope his knee is ok because he could has a lot to offer the sport.
Cotto fought very well, his timing with the jab was great. No is going to look real good against foreman.
Cotto was OUTBOXING foreman before he hurt his knee
Cotto landed the perfect left hook to the liver, was a beautiful shot.
At the end of the day it didn't matter if foreman hurt his knee or not he was going to lose anyway.
You guys act like his knee gave out on it's own. No Cotto had him working those legs overtime. Actually earlier in the fight, 5th round I think, Cotto made his knees buckle awkwardly from a shot. That was the beginning of Yuri's downfall. Just because Cotto did not land a big punch immediately preceding the first big fall, does not mean damage was not already done.
Pressure, Fatigue and Punishment made Yuri unwind.
But you and me know that you don't win a chance to fight for world championships from a fortune cookie. He's done a lot to get to where he's at.
How much you weigh?
and i agree, definintely the body shot that ended it. the shockwaves in yuri's body when the punch was landed was crazy, and when he was going down you could see him bring in his arm/elbow to cover it.
also, yuri had all his weight on his good knee, not the bad one. he went down on the good knee.
If you notice right before that 9th round started Cotto signal to the crowd that he was going to end it.It was the body shot that eventually got him down.
I know a good fighter when I see one and Yuri aint it.
But you and me know that you don't win a chance to fight for world championships from a fortune cookie. He's done a lot to get to where he's at.
Vers!!!!! Still knocking people out left right and centre? hows the boxing going?
Boxing's going alright. Have a few issues working out but all's good.
Cottos punch was not much a factor, dont get carried away.
It was Yuris knee was went away again.
so chill man
Yuri had a good chance winning the fight. He is a slow starter and was just getting stronger, Cotto is the opposite
Foreman was on his way out man, just like Roy Jones said. Cotto had 5 rounds to land that body shot, and if he didn't he would have just kept landing his jab on that bloody nose anyway.
Cotto only fades when he's pressured. Against Judah and Malignaggi he turned it up in the late rounds because he was moving forward.
yuris good at preaching jew gospel
This is why I ignore fighters who thank God for victories as if God cares about boxing. I guess Yahweh liked Cotto more.
Why is it so hard for some if u to admit Yuri is a weak azz fighter? He gets no moral victory for getting KTFO, if he fihghts Cotto again he gets KTFO again, it was a poor performance plain and simple
Please don't be a keyboard warrior.
here's a follow-up question: would cotto have landed that perfect liver shot if yuri's knee didn't give out?
cotto landed brutal body shots like that before so why not against foreman? plus he was hitting him enough to bloody up his face so its not like he couldnt catch him, foreman had him missing his shots too but the ones that landed bothered him for sure.
If u ask me Foreman has nothing positive he can take away from his performance, it was nothing more than a 1 sided beatdown to me, I think HBO simply played up the sympathy angle and you fell for it.
