True.
Don King, Bob Arum, Peter Kohl and Ahmet Öner are all greedy, crooked and selfish.
Arum loves Jewish fighter Foreman while not caring about the others, while Kohl treats his German fighters like gold and his other fighters like sh*t, and Öner only cares about himself and his Turkish boxers like Selcuk Aybum.
Don King is not racist or ethno-centered though. He doesn't care about anybody but himself, he treats ALL his boxers like sh*t, black or white.
Yeah, I mean his statements just struck a cord with me...It wasn't him per-say, but the fact that everytime I long into this site, Arum stays being the only promoter looked at as evil, and no good.
While plenty of others get a pass ALL THE ****ING TIME!!! It's like folks only do what is popular, and never really think things through.
Cotto gave him a little hug and he had a small smile on his face, you just knew Arum wanted Foreman to win.

Immediately looks towards Foremans corner after.

Cotto must leave Top Rank NOW!
They are not looking for his best interests. We all saw how Arum supported Margaracheato when he and everyone knew Margaracheato had the plaster on....
say what you want but Top Rank does put Cotto in big fights for the most part. I think Arum just sees the potential mainstream crossover with Foreman being jewish and a rabbi in training.. E60 did a report on him and even Good Morning America brought it up....
Very true, Arum saw a lot of potential in making money off Yuri Foreman, being a Jew plus the story behind him, unfortunately for Arum, things didn't turn out his way, I believe Arum thought Cotto was damaged goods after Pacquaio and Margarito and he paid the price in not believing in his fighter.
Cotto put on a brilliant display of boxing and looked very good, he may not be as good as he used too but it doesn’t mean he can’t compete at the same level. Cotto has a good shot at any champion with the exception of Martinez.
It would be interesting to see what Cotto is going to do next.
I doubt Arum wanted Foreman to win. Cotto has a larger fan following from his people. Foreman not so much..
Cotto makes more money for Arum and considering the possibility of a Cotto vs. Pac 2 rematch, im sure Arum had that planned all along..
I cannot stand Bob Arum. His a money grabber who doesnt give a shit about his fighters.
He has made alot of people dislike Manny because of his lies and keeping all the money inhouse(only having top Rank fighters fight each other).
there is a reason Floyd and Oscar and so many others left him. His a parasite
Everything you just said can be pointed in the direction of other promoters as well. Bob my be bad, but he is not the lone bad guy in the sport...That's just upsurd.
Cotto was damaged goods as far as Arum was concerned....sure, one more big fight for Cotto but he already has 2 losses and was perceived to be on the downslide of his career. Foreman was still undefeated and was on the upside so Arum likely would have preferred a Cotto loss so he could continue to build Foreman into a star.
Arum uses Cotto as a sacrificial calf for big money fights......he would break his back for Pac though, lol

I wonder what some people on here are smoking.
Miguel Cotto has a way bigger fan base than Yuri Foreman would ever have.
Arum makes so much more money off of him than he ever would with a guy with Foreman's style.
From a business standpoint, I am sure Arum is pleased as punch Cotto won.
Maybe he was hoping for a Cotto/Margarito type situation, where even in a loss Miguel Cotto is still somewhat a big name attraction, and retains some of his fan base, while Yuri Foreman with a win goes on to build his own name and builds his fan base.

Arum always looks like that...:poke:
Link to the bolded please.
unless you can read minds or arum straight up says it, then I'm inclined withhold judgment. and that's just being fair.
I think it's the general impression that we all got. Just as he wanted Pacquaio to beat Cotto as well.
True, but I'm just saying his preference was for Foreman to win.

c'mon man, you guys' conspiracy theories are getting slanderous. I'm sure there is a part of arum that wanted foreman to win, but arum's main concern is his bank account.

you are correct sir.

If Foreman scrapped like that every fight, and had a little more power he could be a big favorite to watch. But he earned my respect last night and it actually would make me wanna watch him again in the future.
