Even promoter Bob Arum, for whom Cotto has been a huge draw in the loyal Hispanic boxing market, acknowledged that Foreman's injury left just enough doubt to justify a rematch.

Arum saying stupid shit like this makes me think that if it had gone to the scorecards Cotto would've been robbed. Yuri was getting his ass kicked it wasn't a close fight in any way, shape or form.
i forgot to mention.....it was not a close fight...the only round I scored for Foreman was the 4th round b/c of the 2 clean right hands and a couple of flurries when cotto temporarily let his guard down
I agree That arum was rooting for Yuri foreman.... Bob Arum doesnt give Cotto the respect he deserves and treats Cotto like a stepping stone for his other top rank fighters..
There was 2 things that proved Bob arums Favoritism.
1. Just watch the pre fight Hype......All Cotto gets is an interview for about over a minute.......ok Cotto Times up....Now its time For the Foreman Back story building it like hes the one thats gonna win and he gets the hero music on backround.
2. Watch Cotto Celebrate with Bob Arum in backround....Bob arum has a fake smmile and had a serious face at times the eyes dont lie.
I am a cotto Fan but I Noticed but I felt like some of his puches were slower being at 154...he still boxed beautifully..... I would like Stewart to add minor ingredients from his Marg fight... Cotto Was Boxing clinic on first 6 rounds and he couldve beaten just about any top welterwghit at that time...maybe except floyd.
Exactly I think Cotto deserves to have a soft fight next so that he can heal mentally and continue learning with Emanuel Steward. I only wish Cotto would have added Steward along time ago b/c he looked impressive coming off the Pacquiao destruction.

Hilarious. As soon as I saw the link for thew article I figured it was probably written by the same guy I read an article by on espn's nyc site previewing the fight. Try and find his preview article...he basically said Cotto was shot and that Foreman would box circles arund him all night...Cotto has nothing left...etcetcetc...the guy was really biased towards Foreman in his preview article and it does not surprise me that he would have it scored even and calling for a rematch. The guy obviously was playing favorites just based on his previous article.
Fukk that. Cotto is the better fighter. If there was a rematch, Cotto would whoop that ass again. Give Cotto some fukking credit. Got to GBP Miguel. Fukk Arum.
i dont mind seeing him fight Pac or Margarito but that greedy old bastard why doesnt he let Cotto fight another fighter that is not in Top Rank? why doesnt he talk about fighting Martinez or Williams? its always have to be a Top Rank fighter....
i wouldve liked to see how the fight wouldve been in rounds 9-12 .. rounds where cotto usually slows down.. but i still think cotto wins the latter rounds.. not sure if i wanna see a rematch
Did Cotto appear tired to you stalking nonstop? Cotto gave no indication at all that he wasnt properly conditioned..
I didn't think the fight was that close outside of a few rounds early on...Yuri really was doing little...outside of jabbing, just constant movement...Cotto seemed to block almost everything...
