He came in with Paulie, then Paulie got mobbed and Collazo gave Paulie a hug and went and sat down with his family I guess, a couple people. Kinda ridiculous nobody knew who he was. Many people believe he deserves wins over Ricky Hatton and Andre Berto. He also beat Yuri Foreman in the NY Golden Gloves when they were younger. Then he goes to Yankee Stadium where Foreman is the main event and nobody even knows who he is...kinda crazy.
Yeah bro, Collazo has to be one of the unluckiest boxers. Really good boxer, a lot of heart, and all but the big fights just did not go right for him.
I think I saw Collazo as well, he was there for the very first fight screaming instructions to one of the fighters in the ring.

lol I just explained this to someone on Facebook, I'll just copy and post what I wrote.....
Met em yesterday in the Bronx, dude was wack lol. He was rude as hell and wouldn't even give me the time of day. Wouldn't take a picture with me or nothing. So when I seen em later I talked shit to em about getting knocked out by Danny Green it was mad funny lol. I met Paulie Malignaggi too, but he was cool as hell, great dude. I seen Luis Collazo too but didn't talk to em he was with Paulie.

Half of the stadium was packed and the floor, as you can see in the pics. I could just imagine if Cotto vs Pac happened there - the stadium would explode.
was it a good night???
Tell me about it man, dude pissed me off lol. Especially cause I was always a fan, routed for him every time he fought (except the Trinidad fight). I was just very surprised and annoyed at the way he acted.
I agree with what you said. Like Malignaggi...I'm sure he must have been getting annoyed. Every time he got to walk off with his girl he got mobbed by more people. But he was still cool to everybody and wasn't acting all aggravated or anything like that. People weren't even mobbing Roy, me and m friends were the only ones that ran up to em, at that time at least.
Yeah Paulie seems like that type of person who would have the time of day for anyone. I can't understand how somebody could get annoyed of someone wanting to see them because they admire their work, and all they want is a picture and for them to say hey back or whatever. Some people need a reality check. I didn't think Roy would be that sort.
Oh well, at-least they're not all like that!
That's ****ing ridiculous. What a way to treat your fans. Totally understand what you mean now. If he's the type of person who hates doing photos and autographs he should know he's working at a boxing event and will be meeting people like that. He should be happy he still has fans that admire him even after his losing string lately.

I'll explain the situation....
My friend and I are just sitting there, it was real early before any of the fights started and I seen Roy walking by. I yelled out to him, he just looked and then kept walking, no waving or smile or nothing lol...we were clearly the only ones in that area too not like he didn't know who it was that yelled his name. So we ran up to him and were like Roy what's going on? I don't recall him saying anything I don't really remember but then we asked to take pictures with him and he let out a sigh and said ugh hurry up. He took one with my friend, then when it was my turn to take one he was like aight that's enough and walked away. It was disappointing cause I was always a fan of him.
Dude was a prick man, I lost a lot of respect for him. Paulie Malignaggi was cool as hell though. He was talking with everyone, taking pics with everyone, and people were really mobbing him too, while he was trying to walk around with his girlfriend. Nobody was even mobbing around Roy.

wow, that sounds dissapointing man. Maybe he was just so busy preparing for HBO. Like did you point blank ask him for a photo and he said 'no', or what?
Just interested, always baffled when I hear of boxers being rude to fans

I didn't really like the stadium...
Madison Square Garden > Yankee Stadium...for fights in my opinion.
All the seats were so far from the ring, you couldn't hear sh!t when they were fighting. I found myself looking at the big screen more than the real fight, screen was cool, but I didn't go there to watch the fights on a big screen. I ended up moving my seat, to seats I could have gotten for cheaper to watch the Cotto-Foreman fight just so that I could see it.
I met Paulie Malignaggi, who was cool as hell. Met Roy Jones and he was an as$hole.
The main event was awesome though. I had a blast, but I think it would have been better at MSG. Stadium just didn't seem right for boxing to me.
nice pics by the way

probably around 27,000.. mostly cotto fans- The stadium was fitted for 28,000 but it wasn't sold out
Yea i would say like 25K but it sounded like the Place was packed
Out of those 25k people, like 23k were Cotto fans and the other 2k were the jews that could afford the floor seats
