I have never heard a non Piston's fan say they like Laimbeer. Most people liked Joe Dumars though. i was a kid back then. didn't know much about basketball. i just followed players i liked. i loved bird because of the 3's. magic was 2nd because of his assists. rodman for his rebounding. worthy for his dunks and layups on fast break. laimbeer? for the little extras. :lol1:

I thought the rape thing wasn't until much later but yea it only really sucks for them becuase that is one of the biggest upsets in Finals history, if that series was Pistons-Mavs no one would care about it later on. It had to be like a nightmare for Phil Jackson atleast that is not his only loss in the Finals now. the case already started. he would fly from colorado straight to games sometimes. the trial never started but the prelims was already going on in the playoffs.

That was another issue with Kobe in that series he was trying to be the man under intense pressure. The Pistons kind of dared him to do what he did and it was to tough a task for any one player. Don't forget the Piston had the Shaq stopper Elden Campbell hey elden was a good defender and rebounder. i'd take a prime elden right now on the lakers.
