"Regarding Roach’s observations of Mayweather, I agree that Floyd is more flat footed these days but I don’t think that necessarily means that his legs aren’t 100 percent. If his legs were beginning to slip, he wouldn’t have the leverage to crack with his punches and he nailed Mosley with some very hard one-two combinations during their fight. I think a lot of defensive-minded boxers and ring generals settle down in terms of their footwork and movement late in their careers. Muhammad Ali did. Pernell Whittaker did. James Toney did. Bernard Hopkins did. They did well with their more stationary style, too (at least for awhile -- Ali and Toney hung around too long and absorbed a few beatings near the end). Right now the more stationary Mayweather is getting the job done. Hopefully we’ll find out if he can get it done flat footed against a frenetic super talent like Pacquiao."

You guys still talking this "running" stuff? Give it a rest.
I didnt articulate what i meant well. What i meant to imply was that PBF will not give the impression that his legs are gone when he fights Pac. He will use his legs more against Pac, but didnt feel the need to agaisnt SSM.
Floyd's legs aren't what they were but that's not going to matter against Pac anyway. Why in the world would Floyd employ a stick and move strategy against Pacquiao? That makes no sense. Pacquiao will never slow down. Floyd will have to fight in a manner similar to what he did to Mosley. You play to your strengths and Floyd's must underrated attribute is his ability to successfully engage - while still exhibiting excellent defense - on the inside. That also happens to be Pacquiao's weakness. Pac is still dangerous there and this is no easy fight for Floyd. Roach's comments aren't too far from the truth and provide a hint into what to expect should we be so lucky in November.
Pac shouldnt get his hopes up too much that PBFs legs are gone. That way he wont be so shocked and disheartened when he runs away from Pac so well.
Pac must prepare himself to the fact it might be hard to catch up with PBFs running.

I think his legs aint quite what they once were but the man aint young anymore but if he was himself concerned surely he wudnt wear heavy ass leather shorts am i right?
Yea that the thing, If Mayweather moves then Pacquiao would have his chance backing Mayweather up and thats what Roach wanted but if Mayweather stands in the pocket then Pacquiao is in trouble and i think Roach want to avoid that- Problem is Mayweather is too smart in the ring.
That is bascially how I see it Manny's best chance come with outworking Floyd and that is a dangerous game. If Roach can get Floyd to freely fight moving away that helps Manny a lot.
I don't think that kind of thing will work though.
Well Roach could be saying that so that Floyd fights on the move to prove him wrong which would make Floyd easier to outwork therefore defeat. I don't think Floyd would fall for such a trick but whatever got to try I guess.
If Floyd holds his gound (only moving when needed) and fights as the big man that is a harder fight for Manny to win (IMO).

I don't agree with Roach either.
Floyd's legs may of declined slightly (and i mean slightly) as he has got older and moved up in weight but his footwork and movement are still awesome.
I believe Floyd's legs are more there than Pac's.
Floyd has taken far less damage in his career.
I have no proof. Its only a assumption.
I believe both guys are in terrific shape and there stanima/endurance will not be an issue if they fight.
