i dont know why people think boxers cant fight on floor .they were not
born boxers they were born fighters. once again its the mind set of the men
going in with a guy like mike tyson would have been hard were a pure boxer
maybe you could bring him down and submit him but one thing for sure
mma guys would in no way domonate in depends on the fighter as always
its not the style its the man
It's like Kobe challenging Ricky Hatton to a dunk contest.
Well all the boxer needs to really do is learn to defend from a takedown and how to check a kick.
Because its an easy way for them to look good. Call a guy out who they know will never fight because the money is whack then claim that they are scared.
It's because they want to bait a legitimate boxer in an MMA fight, in hopes to dominate to legitimize their claim that MMA is the new prize-fighting sports in town.
Even Joe Rogan constantly states that you don't see the same level of punching in MMA than you do in Boxing. So no punching and glass chins equals no match to top boxers in a boxing match. In an MMA fight, all the boxer needs to do is to stay in their feet and learn how to depend from take-downs equals WIN.
I've watched UFC since the rise of Chuck Liddell, great matchups and the obligated title defenses... buts still not as exiting as Boxing, with or without drama.
I still maintain that I would have liked to see Cintron in the octagon. When Dana was harping big time to get Floyd into an MMA fight with one of his 155 pounders, Kermit Cintron who was a collegiate wrestler as well, came out and said he'd fight a UFC guy at 155.
Cintron would have ****ed Sean Sherk up.
