everyone was saying manny was gonna ko marquez in the rematch because he had improved and what the fuk happened after the fight? marquez was robbed and his improvements were bullshit, marquez was just better then his ass and still is.
Robbed? Try to be a bit more neutral with your comments. It was a close match. Manny did hurt and knock down Marquez once. That was probably the difference in that fight. I was rooting for Marquez yet I never felt any robbery took place, as you had stated.
It was a great fight. Marquez did what he knows best. That is, he was able to counter punch Manny well and had a good defense. Manny did what he knows best and that was to knock down once and occasionally hurt Marquez.
It was a close fight, no robbery.
I seen your posts bro.. You're better than that man. He was a super fast head hunting brawler with naturally heavy hands and for that reason he defeated those ATGs. You can't deny though, that pacquiao was NOT the fighter he is now. You already know this. Completely different fighter. He was not shot after the two ko's either.. he's a rare breed that use the ko defeats and loss to morales as inspiration/motivation to prepare much harder. For that reason he is now one of the ATGs.
What Floyd fans who hate don't say is how and why Pacquiao won fight 2 against Morales. They just bring up the weight.
When Morales stayed away and jabbed well, he did well. When he tried to mix it up with Pac he had trouble. Furthermore, Morales HAD NO DEFENSE for Pac's left hand. That's what made Pacquiao take control, weakened Morales's legs then KOed him.

Yeah, I misunderstood. I thought you meant Pacquiao was past his prime at that time. I was sitting here like "wtf?". But I understand what you meant now.
Okay, fair enough.
The way he wrote his comment, he was stating all the wars Pacquiao was in and that he was just a head hunting brawler so he wasn't prime either...... You can only make from that post that he meant Pacquiao was past prime.

Cool, no problem. You admitted and stated what you thought he had said..... fair statement, that's all one can ask for.... thks!
What he meant is that Pacquaio was still improving and only later did he become a prime fighter. Morales I and Marquez I, Manny only had a big left, no right. He was learning to use his right pre-Morales II fight.
I hope you understand now what he meant!
Thanks! Exactly what I meant. I would think that is obvious to any boxing fan..

No he obviously wasn't, but he looked okay in the second fight and I rate that win fairly highly. I have more of a problem with the weight than his age in that one tbh. The third fight was just overkill though.
Wait, wait, wait..... So Manny wasn't prime back then?
Floyd must be right then. Manny must be on steroids. How can he go from past prime at 130lbs, move up all the way to 140 Kill Hatton, kill Cotto at catchweight, and scare Clottey shitless at 147. Only raises more questions about Pacquiao and steroids if your saying he was past prime against Morales.

pacman got KO'd TWICE before fighting morales..is he shot? wtf is a pactard? Yea morales went through wars, yet you forget manny was also a head hunting brawler for most his career. Morales was not prime, which I had already stated, so what's your point? Manny wasn't prime either.. so have one of these :bottle:

don't bother man.. no use in debating with posters that already have their minds made up. you shut this thread down in your first couple posts here, they just don't want to see it. they also love answering questions with a question/switching topics mid-discussion. LOL!
em was not prime, but neither was pac.
I know what you mean. You can have the evidence, the weapon, pictures, video and witnesses of the "crime" and they still would give excuses. How they can't admit to it is crazy!
dude, he fought raheem at 135 becuz he couldnt make 130...he chose to move up because it became too hard for him to make 130. pac made him fight at 130 in their fights. do the math.
His best weight was 135? No, he couldn't do or be as effective at that weight compared to the lower weights.
As I stated in previous posts, I wouldn't mind if the fight happened at 132 either. I WAS ROOTING FOR MORALES IN THAT FIGHT!!!
At 130, they had at least 2 really good fights. Morrales won one and was winning by 3 rounds and had control in the 2nd fight. HBO crew was ready to count Pacquiao out and stated Moralles is too big and that Manny's better at 126. Only when Pacquiao had that big round did things change.
You guys can't give credit and I explained to you all, that Corrales also had weight issues, had the flu and prison was waiting for him after the Floyd fight.
As I stated before, you can't change your logic just because we went from Manny to Floyd. That would be insane. Right?
You need to take into account that he fought Raheem and Diaz and 135. That's above his prime weight.
Pacquiao prime vs Morales prime would always be exciting to watch just like Morales prime vs Barrera prime. That's all that I can say and wish for!

Who was more battle worn and coming down from his peak than going up to it?
:dunce:
Damm pactards.

"But I know from all the reading, everyone will continue to have an excuse or better still, stay quiet! lol"
Just checking in ...............Like I said when i showed you guys the proof of Corrales having problems for the Floyd fight, nobody would come back and admit I was right.

Right after his win over Pacquiao he lost to:
Raheem
Pacquiao
Pacquiao
Diaz
Yeah, if he was actually prime then he sucked. A prime Morales would not have lost to Pacquiao, Raheem and Diaz, he'd win and not even make it close.

this weigh in was for the rematch after he had lost to raheem badly at 135.... the third fight was unnecessary and all he did was just work out to try and make the weight and not even train...
I thought he looked the same way for the Barrera fight too.
The guy always had problems on making weight, and looked sickly
but like James Toney it only became a problem when he lost.
He Defo wasn't prime though.
