Ahh gotchya. Rofl.
haven't seen that thread yet. But I expect cotto to win if things go as planned. He does a lot of resetting, posing, and admiring his work in the ring which has gotten him hit flush by guys who pressure him and throw (Margi, Pacman). He never was able to reset himself after taking the stroll around the ring that he always takes ,and it cost him (plus a lack of a clinch).
Yuri is the complete opposite of these guys and cotto will never be smuthered and will be able do every bad habbit that he has and get away with it. He will be very comfortable. Yuri will have to out skill him to win this fight, which i dont see happening with them both fighting their fight.
Maybe his height may be a problem, who knows.
I couldn't agree more.
Yuri's style will afford Cotto the opportunity to choose when to engaged and use his backward shuffle, his way of taking a break from the action without clinching. Stylistically, I see it as a fight that plays towards Cotto's strengths. As far as height, at 140 he fought Kelson Pinto, who was listed as 5'10", don't about Pintos reach though.

This is how I see it too. Good post.
I think this gonna be a good weight for him and think he will be stronger than ever. I really hope he has a strong comeback. He looks stronger than ever.
I was just messing with you bro. I respect and appreciate your insight. The joke was in reference to this thread.

Mo, i just know the difference in bodies. I can put up my own pictures for an example. I know how i feel physically when my abs aren't right. It's hard to maintain my posture during hard spars
and he mentioned the dudes neck bein bigger. He's in the process of rolling the rope under neathe him, that's the same as FLEXING. .notice everything is being flexed in that photo.. hence why he's bigger

Talk about over analyzing shit. You must be one of those boxing experts I've been hearing about lately.

Cotto is looking like a tank.
I happend to finish watching Foreman-Santos, an in no way, shape or form Yuri will get close to beat Cotto. Dude doest throw punches, and when he gets hit he just runs till the round is over.
You don't know what to look for then. He has another dimension to his mid section in the final picture. He is also sporting more of a 4 pack instead of a six (like in the mosley fight). His third row is a bit underdeveloped
If you look at his belly button you will see the skin folding a bit more than usual as to where on the other pictures they aren't, this could be because he's slouching a bit instead of standing out right. But there is a small pudge under his belly button where as he is completely flat in the other photos.
He's thicker just above the hips as well, you can tell he usually gets love handles between training, and although he doesn't have'em now, he didn't completely get rid of them. I repeat, his lower midsection isn't looking the best. I wont be suprised if he begins to look "uncomfortable" at times during the fight, or stands up right and bounces/walks around the ring more than usual.
I box man, i pay close attention to this stuff. There's actuall ya noticeable difference in his abdomen.
Also, his neck and traps are only bigger in the third picture because he's in the process of rolling the rope under him, whereas he was in a relaxed state in the other 2.

it doesn't look like fat to me...dood is cut...I think he's at his natural weight class and he's probably added more weight training to this camp as he would be comfortable with...who knows we might see him at his full potential...Martinez changed alot since he moved up from WW to JMW and looks to be on top of his game...lets see what happens...

Phil Landman said in the countdown show for the Margarito fight that 140 was brutal for Cotto, he was totally dehydrated. 147 was a bit more natural. so 154 must be feeling a lot more natural, he can grow some muscle and really fight, i think we might get to see a very scary and dangerous Cotto.
Check his neck compare to the other picks!!!!!
yea, his trapezius looks a little larger and so does his neck...but that might be because he doesnt have to lose as much weight.
Either way, I cant say he looks in any worse shape, so thats a plus.
Looks fat to me. Extra skin and a small pudge around and under the belly button area.
Body shit right on the beltline might seal the deal, his low abs are slacking. Which aint good for a guy who slouches over the way he does. I personally think he put the extra weight to 154 in the wrong areas.

I dont see a drastic difference other than the lighting and more tattoos to be hoenst. oh and he has a scary face on in the last picture. looks like he weighs more, but thats to be expected.
...my neck is way bigger than his. :439:

it's the shadowing bro lol but he does look a lil big bulkier no homo
