Jose is too green at the moment, Maidana would beat his ass 10 different shades of black and purple at this moment. GBP needs to take good care of this kid because I see Jose becoming the next Oscar De La Hoya. I would hate for them to throw him in with the lions too soon.

In horse racing they don't match 2 year old colts against 5 year old horses. There is a reason for that and the same logic applies here. Benavidez will probably surpass Maidana one day, assuming he is managed correctly.
