Ok since RJJ really had a short lived career at middle weight, won a belt vs. B-Hop than moved to 168 where do you think he would have landed on the list of HOFers at 160. I mean he had ridiculous speed and power at 160, 22-0(21 KOS) Where would he have fell if he stuck around at 160 for like another 10 fights. I mean we all know he goes on to be one of the greatest of all time at LHW. If he stayed and unified would he have been the GOAT at MW even with Robinson(yeah I will get ate alive for that comment).
i dunno my dude...Marvelous might disagree i think roy would have gone on a similar run to marvin.tito and oscar would have been his hearns and leonard.
All time? Man, Hagler and Monzon would of been interesting. I honestly think both are better than Hopkins IMO. i think its just a matter of opinion with those 3. they all had similar careers.
Oh I know he was the greatest welterweight of all time, but he is a lot better known as a MW unfortunately. Most true fans will know he did most his damage at 147. He moved up way past what he should have and fought Lamotta. Impressive man for sures. i don't disagree with that.
not to mention kelly pavlik no. just no.
:haha:
and to ts, ray wasn't at his best at middleweight. so i wouldn't say you'd get eaten alive, aside from people who don't know shit. roy would have been the greatest mw of all time.

Is the question asking what IF he never out grew the division?
I wish he would of stayed at 160 just for a few more fights. I would of like to see how he looked against Julian Jackson, Mike McCallum, John David Jackson, and Reggie Johnson at 160. He fought McCallum and Johnson YEARS later at 175. But, I would of loved to see how he would of done against them in the early 90's at 160.
if Roy had stayed at 160, then Bernard wouldnt have ruled the division as long as he did
it would have been Roy punking smaller, big name fighters like Tito and Oscar at 160
i would have paid top dollar to see prime Roy clown the shit out of DLH

Agreed that B-Hop would never have come to what he is but I mean seriously where does he land on the ATG even without a good resume at 160(only one champ).
