Moving up from cruiserweight, he's fought as a heavyweight (against good opponents) 3 times in the last 10 months and is scheduled to fight again in August. You gotta admire the way he's going about getting a title shot with one of the current titlists; he's not waiting on the sidelines for a phone call, he's actually getting into the ring and proving himself.
Also, you have to believe he's viable threat to the older Klitschko, after watching Vitali's sleepwalking performance against the much lower classed Sosnowsi. Adamek is always in great shape, he's cagey, defensive and quick but so far has lacked in the power department. Assuming Tomas wins his next fight against Michael Grant, I could see this fight happening late 2010...

Video Review
If Adamek and Haye hadn't come out of nowhere to HW the past three or so years, the divison would be COMPLETELY bankrupt. Povetkin is fine with taking step aside money and fighting bums in europe the rest of his life, and Nikolay would keep robbing guys in fights he lost back in germany.
Vitali did what he needed to do against Sosnowski. He could have stopped it the first three, but honestly I think Vitali could win ANY of his fights in the first three rounds if he put himself out there and took more risks. He's not great at fighting on the inside, but I think he can still bang pretty good.
If the level of competition improves, so will Vitali's effort. Vitali-Adamek, and Wlad-Haye happening at the end of this year would make it one of the most epic seasons for HW in a long time.
Tomasz Adamek is a throwback fighter. :boxing:
He is the Evander Holyfield of this era :D
He's old school. In the ring every 3 months.

who would have guessed that Adamek would have gone on to be a top 5 heavyweight when 4 or 5 years ago he was at 175lbs warring with Paul Briggs?
He sure has surprised me. Jumping weight classes seems so much easier nowadays.
same here. I would have never guess he would be fighting at heavy a couple years ago
Adamek always puts on a good fight so it kinda of hard not to be a fan of this guy

He didn't really impress me against Estrada, and I question Arreola at this point. However I will say he's making some great choices, and has the potential to be a great HW. I just think Haye and the Klitschkos would KO him though.
Adamek is one of the top 25 p4p best if you ask me. Maybe higher.
He has been fighting slouches lately, cept for maybe arreola, but he has to get used this this weight for a long time before he cant fight the GIANTS he has to face. Even HAYE is bigger then him, and Haye is a small Heavy.
But i love Adamek. One of my favorites
is this the same adamek that was eating straight right hands all night in his last fight ? the guys a bum
If he was eating right hands he sure wasn't showing it...
