Cotto doesn't have much of a right hand. It's his left to the liver that really caved opponents in. Shane's right is so much stronger than Cotto's right. Not a good comparison here. His right was pretty effective against Quintana and Judah, I guess mainly because they were southpaws. But I agree that Shane has a more explosive right hand, I also think Floyd had trouble seeing the punch since Shane set it up with a jab to the body.

cotto = perfect version of castillo Hell no. If there's one technique Castillo uses very effectively, its clinching. Cotto couldn't clinch if his life depended on it. When he gets caught, he always pushes backwards and loses focus, and then waits until everything sets back to to start attacking again (sometimes he even waits until the next round). Castillo on the other hand would clinch and throw body shots. But to answer the question, no. If anything, Floyd would have had an easier time keeping Cotto off of him in that round. Also, Cotto's right hand just isn't what it used to be anymore so I doubt it would have had as much of an effect. Hell, even a prime Cotto's right hand isn't as good as Mosley's though.
