Before this thread gets deleted for forcing Floyd to get in the ring with Pacquiao as this site is becoming more and more fighthypescene rather than boxingscene...let me just say that we as a boxing sports fans need to figure out a way how to get Floyd in the ring with Pacquiao A S A P. People are talking about ppv numbers and how Pacquiao can't sell *****. The truth is Floyd won't fight Pacquiao even if the ppv share was 99/1 on Floyd's favor. Floyd wants none of Pacquiao since day one period. We need to start protesting because I'm not watching Floyd fight Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, or Danny Garcia. Floyd's been fighting clowns for way too long. We need to do something. Once Floyd announces another fighter other than Pacquiao I'm ready to go to that press conference with full gears on with signs that says Pu$$y Floyd and #FightPacquiao. I'm no Floyd hater but this ***** has to stop. Yes boxing is business but it's also a sport. How do people let Floyd get away making millions fighting two fights with a flat footed Maidena? I want to know who's better. Pacquiao or Floyd? D@mn Floyd quit ducking and fight Pacquiao. floyd does a lot right (in a marketing sense)... no surprise he pulls the bigger numbers. • he gets at opponent first (compared to pac taking "leftovers")... benefiting from opponents peak marketability (oscar, ricky, shane). • unmatched pre-fight HYPE & controversy build-up (villian role) • fighting only ONCE a year builds anticipation • great matchmaking with GBP • GBP build up of opponents compared to pac: • pac fighting "leftovers" • dull... almost non-existant pre-fight build-up or hype (too nice) • fights TWICE, fans expected to pay $60 bucks (x2) for the year. • arum's choice of opponent is HORRIBLE • arum seems to give paydays to in-house (undeserving) opponents. real talk: if pac fought once a year, in typical exciting fashion, and adds pre-fight buzz... pac would do better in PPV numbers. bottom line, arum is milking his third-world workhorse. and nothing benefits pac... if floyd fought twice a year, with the outcomes being the same... i think his numbers would slip due to casual fans feeling "robbed".... but currently, floyd has been brilliant regarding his professional career.

50/50, no cut off, 8 oz. reyes gloves, 20 foot ring, 1,000,000 per pound (which is pointless), and we have a fight. How difficult can that really be? Mayweather has better numbers, but not by much. These guys believe in ducking fighters in favor of easier tasks that make half good fighters, look like great fighters.

I think his ability to come from smaller weights and do what he is doing now combine to make him a huge ppv star that he is. It sets him apart. Pac and Floyd are the biggest stars in the sport at the moment and its special because it was pretty unlikely earlier in their careers that they would be where they are now. Also Manny fights at lower weights were against some of the most marketable fighters at the lower weights. You have to take that into consideration and admit that it helped build his base. Oh yeah I admit it but the mere fact that both are the biggest starts in the sport makes this a 50/50 fight without a doubt. Only fanboys thinks there fighter deserves anymore.

PPV has just gotten out of control these past few years. When PBF was in the 130 weight class basically only HW was getting PPV fights. In the pass few years damn near anybody can get a fight on PPV. Also PBF has not been a jr welterweight or welterweight for the majority of his career. Break down the number of his fights at 140 and above compared to the number of fights below 140.
