Before this thread gets deleted for forcing Floyd to get in the ring with Pacquiao as this site is becoming more and more fighthypescene rather than boxingscene...let me just say that we as a boxing sports fans need to figure out a way how to get Floyd in the ring with Pacquiao A S A P. People are talking about ppv numbers and how Pacquiao can't sell *****. The truth is Floyd won't fight Pacquiao even if the ppv share was 99/1 on Floyd's favor. Floyd wants none of Pacquiao since day one period.
We need to start protesting because I'm not watching Floyd fight Amir Khan, Devon Alexander, or Danny Garcia. Floyd's been fighting clowns for way too long. We need to do something.
Once Floyd announces another fighter other than Pacquiao I'm ready to go to that press conference with full gears on with signs that says Pu$$y Floyd and #FightPacquiao.
I'm no Floyd hater but this ***** has to stop. Yes boxing is business but it's also a sport. How do people let Floyd get away making millions fighting two fights with a flat footed Maidena? I want to know who's better. Pacquiao or Floyd?
D@mn Floyd quit ducking and fight Pacquiao.
And no I don't need Floyd's a$$ kissers and his blind followers to tell me who's Brandon Rios and Chris Algieri or Pacquiao needs to get rid of Bob Arum and all that bs excuses. I need them to find Floyd and tell him to fight Pacquiao!
Stop making up excuses. Boxing is a sport yes! But boxing is also a fight! You can't say before a fight...hey I want you to get rid of your wife and I want you to deal with your taxes and I want you to first fight that guy or this guy before I fight you. When you do that it means you're scared but whatever we all already know that.
Floyd if you're scared of Pacquiao...RETIRE plain and simple.
Boxing fans. We cannot let another year, another fight go by without Floyd fighting Pacquiailo. If you're a true fan of the sport of boxing we need this fight!
wheres pacquiao margarito
Pacquiao margarito did 1.15million ppvs buys since from the looks of the data u were adding up all there fights up until 2010....mayweather still has more buys and money but it seems like manny has more cumulative ppv history unless u forgot some past money events
floyd does a lot right (in a marketing sense)... no surprise he pulls the bigger numbers.
• he gets at opponent first (compared to pac taking "leftovers")... benefiting from opponents peak marketability (oscar, ricky, shane).
• unmatched pre-fight HYPE & controversy build-up (villian role)
• fighting only ONCE a year builds anticipation
• great matchmaking with GBP
• GBP build up of opponents
compared to pac:
• pac fighting "leftovers"
• dull... almost non-existant pre-fight build-up or hype (too nice)
• fights TWICE, fans expected to pay $60 bucks (x2) for the year.
• arum's choice of opponent is HORRIBLE
• arum seems to give paydays to in-house (undeserving) opponents.
real talk: if pac fought once a year, in typical exciting fashion, and adds pre-fight buzz... pac would do better in PPV numbers. bottom line, arum is milking his third-world workhorse. and nothing benefits pac...
if floyd fought twice a year, with the outcomes being the same... i think his numbers would slip due to casual fans feeling "robbed".... but currently, floyd has been brilliant regarding his professional career.
Naw even a hungry dog wouldn't go near that old ragg of urs u call mom lol.
That's right ..that's why we selling your dads ass lol.
And why are u so concern about what arum is doing to PAC?
No one is concerned..I'm just telling you that arum is ducking mayweather and protecting pac..but your little pactard brain will never understand that.
Do u secretly have a crush on the pacman or something? Lol why would a flomos worried so much about what is happening to manny?
A typical gayish response from a die hard pacman fan lol..it's not worth talking to you..you're a brain dead monkey...you keep buying arums PPV fights and keep supporting arum in ducking mayweather ..but remember one thing..pac has more rubbish fights but still makes less money than mayweather
Now take a break and take a big deep breath...now stop concentrating on mayweather or the PPV numbers..concentrate on arum and what he said the other day..
Do you know that he signed bradley the other day?? Do you know why he did it?? If you don't then let me tell you...bradley sold himself to top rank because after the jmm fight pac will fight bradley..and now think about it for a minute..if arum I won't mention pac because pac has nothing to say but if arum really wanted to make mayweather vs pacquiao do you think he would be planning all these fight??
He does it after every pac fight..there are always two or three people waiting for pac..no talk of mayweather..
Arum lies to pac fans but pac fans to blind to see..arum feeds you with lies to hate on mayweather too keep you busy..while he's match making top rank fighters to face top rank fighters..
Arum is the only problem here not mayweather nor pacquiao..if you want to see the fight talk to arum..he's holding it up.
This..
Some people eat anything fed to them. Arum is feeding them fake meat. Umm Uhmm Yummy! Now swallow..
50/50, no cut off, 8 oz. reyes gloves, 20 foot ring, 1,000,000 per pound (which is pointless), and we have a fight. How difficult can that really be? Mayweather has better numbers, but not by much. It's a shame that we haven't witnessed this fight yet. People blame Floyd but it's clear that there has to be some blame on Pacquiao's side. I see that Pacquiao's trainer seems to be concerned about the upcoming fight. He was concerned about Shane Mosley as well. Watching Floyd Mayweather dissect Shane Mosley, watching Floyd dissect Victor Ortiz, and Juan Manuel Marquez, I'd have to say that I'm inclined to think that a fight with Floyd Mayweather represents a nightmare scenario for Freddie Raoch. Bob Arum knows that once his fighter loses to Floyd, there will be no multi-million dollar cash out on Pacquiao events. These guys believe in ducking fighters in favor of easier tasks that make half good fighters, look like great fighters.
I don't know if OP would change numbers.. but new comparisons coming up soon. Estimated Mosley/Pac and then the new Pac/Marquez numbers when released.
Just saying....
i see ur up early.. ur mom still out making money at the corner?? here since im nice :bottle::bottle::bottle::bottle:
Yes she is she's selling your dads ass..but they not making much money he too old lol
But I guess mayweather fans should thank arum..do retards like this guy deserve a better treatment..let him rip them off their money with sh1tty fights..they deserve it lol
i still dont understand why flomos is so obsessed with ppv numbers??? do u guys get a piece of that bread too or what?? is this the only thing floyd got on pac now?? first it was pac will never fight floyd, then pac will never take the test, then now pac will never out sell floyd.. ya running out of excuses to trash pac LOL!!
Now take a break and take a big deep breath...now stop concentrating on mayweather or the PPV numbers..concentrate on arum and what he said the other day..

Hey I've read on several reports that PBF v Hatton did 1 million + buys.
Add in Floyds 1 million for the Ortiz fight. Plus Pacs 1.1 for Shane & 1.2 for Antonio. Both guys are really popular & should accept 50/50... their fight will do @ least 2.75 million buys.
I wonder what JMM v Pacquiao will do.. probably 700k - 1 million ...

Vers,
I don't know what this fight will sell - my guess is 1.45 million - but it feels REALLY big.
The thing a lot of people don't realize is that the magnitude (even excluding PPV sales) generates a lot of revenue.
I think his ability to come from smaller weights and do what he is doing now combine to make him a huge ppv star that he is. It sets him apart. Pac and Floyd are the biggest stars in the sport at the moment and its special because it was pretty unlikely earlier in their careers that they would be where they are now. Also Manny fights at lower weights were against some of the most marketable fighters at the lower weights. You have to take that into consideration and admit that it helped build his base.
Oh yeah I admit it but the mere fact that both are the biggest starts in the sport makes this a 50/50 fight without a doubt. Only fanboys thinks there fighter deserves anymore.
You can when those smaller weight classes mentioned never had a history of PPV draws ever. Remember Floyd went thru those exact same divisions and never could generate a PPV fight himself.
I guess the question Im trying to pose to the entire bord is if manny was a Welterweight or junior welterweight the majority of his career don't you think his PPV numbers would have been higher.

PPV has just gotten out of control these past few years. When PBF was in the 130 weight class basically only HW was getting PPV fights. In the pass few years damn near anybody can get a fight on PPV.
Also PBF has not been a jr welterweight or welterweight for the majority of his career. Break down the number of his fights at 140 and above compared to the number of fights below 140.
