Only Pacquiao IMO has a REAL chance of taking Floyd's 0. I don't see an 07 Mosley fight having a different outcome. I think Floyd beats Margarito handily.
No he wouldn't have, he would have had a loss by now. He doesn't take risks. He fights fighters at the right time, he has been known to do that through-out his career.
Stop saying he would've lost and not mention who he would have lost to. Mayweather beats Mosley at any stage in their career. And he would have pot shotted Margarito to death and won a boring UD. Who's left?
Sosa - UD12
Corley - UD12
Malignaggi
Torres
Quintana
Judah - UD12
Mosley - UD12
Margarito
Clottey
Pacquiao
Foreman
I would say Mosley is the toughest guy on that resume and Floyd just beat a top #1 WW version of him. To be fair, Cotto would beat everyone Mayweather fought at 140-147. But you have to think about Floyd's run at 130 as well. Floyd is now a full WW but that doesn't erase the fact that the bulk of his wins are at 130 and 20KOs of the 25 in his career came at 130. Just keep in mind you're comparing a 5 weight class champ to a 2 weight class champ.
stylistically, and going by physical attributes. I think the toughest fights on that list are actually Margi and Pacman.
I love how now Margarito with plaster is the GOAT. GTFO. He lost to Paul Williams. He lost to Santos. Cotto was hitting him clean all day but his D sucks. Cotto can hit him clean but Floyd cant even though he's way faster than Cotto and the most accurate guy in the history of the sport? Floyd will get hit with all the same clean blows as Cotto? Come on now
Easily. The only person that would have given Floyd any trouble was Pac. Margarito would be a WIDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE 12 round decision and the Mosley that lost to Cotto is the same one that lost to Floyd.
Undefeated Quintana
Dangerous Zab Judah
a couple years younger Shane Mosley
Extremely Motivated and Plaster Fisted Margarito
a Determined if not Gun Shy Josh Clottey
and a Rampaging Manny Pac at a catchweight
and then a few scrubs sprinkled in between...
i dont know man, thats a tough lineup of fighters to go through and not to mention undefeated late replacement Torres and undefeated Paulie in there.
I would Favor Floyd in every fight BUT i just think everybody loses at some point and somebody would have caught up to him.
I'd basically say floyds record would be 35-1 with about 22-24 KO's against Cotto's opponents.
The loss would be either against Pac,Mosley or a Cheating Margarito but wouldnt be stunned if Paulie or Quintana made it interesting (but not win)
yes. he would have embarresed margarito i fink. to bad he never fought em. but the pac fight has yet to happen, and i wouldn't know who would win since i like both fighters.
And the exact time period of when Cotto fought them. I say hell no to that.
I am not sure. If margacheato's hands were plastered (as I believe they were) for Cotto's bout, it could have added career KOing damage to Floyd win or lose.
How the heck do you guys know we can speculate but a younger Floyd had better stamina and still could out point either guy including Cotto who gases out aalot in many of his fights including against Mosley whom I think won the fight just like Clottey. Everyone thinks Margarito could've beaten him because of his size and stalking nature. Maybe but the difference between he and Cotto is that Floyd has great defense and looping shots wouldnt land and he would counter Margarito all day and move and win. May have been a tough fight but Margarito would look like he did in the first half of the Clottey and Cotto fight.
Yes he would Zab Judah brought his A-Game against Floyd and Floyd beat him he would've beaten the 2007 Mosley too. Corley almost floored Cotto after his fight against Mayweather.
He would've beaten Margarito (whether juiced gloves or not) and he would've outscored Clottey with ease although i consider this fight to be a snoozefest.
And it think he will win against Manny Pacquiao.
Who's left? Paulie? Oktay Urkal? c'mon...
I believe so, I would still be intresting in seeing the Cotto fight although he isnt a shell of what he was but the Margarito fight i was never really intrested in.
Of course...........
No he wouldn't have, he would have had a loss by now. He doesn't take risks. He fights fighters at the right time, he has been known to do that through-out his career.
