I certainly have.To tell you the truth,it was never really a fight that I craved to see in the first place. As a true fan of the sport of boxing,I support this fight because the sport could do with press and mainstream coverage that this superfight would bring.but as for the fight itself,it just doesn't appeal to me.
Margarito vs Pacquiao is a much greater fight in my view.If Margarito really does have anything left, then he would give Pacquiao a hell of a fight and close out his great career with a well deserved big money paday.
Yeah he was ranked high, Because the welterweight division is struggling at the moment.
Plus, a fair few people were genuinely picking him to pull off the upset against Pacquiao. :laff2: That, and the fact that he gave Cotto absolute hell in a razor-thin decision would indicate him as being regarded highly in a division that's now rapidly running out of big names.
Berto is the guy out there and you have Bradley moving up so its not bad. I feel we need more guys to move up...
Berto really is the only one left who nobody's touched (except for Collazo, but that rematch will never happen). I don't think Bradley will stay at 147, because there are way too many names calling him at 140. If he ducks them, he'll lose a lot of supporters - including me.
No I wouldn't say that I have lost intrest in the fight it will be good to watch if it happen's!! I am fed up of it being dragged out this long!
and Hugh!? Floyd is the #1 p4p
Really? last time i checked it was pac. Pac will go down as a higher ATG so i think Pac is still no1. Last time i checked of couse, unless things have changed since PBF beat SSM?
Well, besides Berto and Mosley he was considered the best WW out there who hadn't yet been destroyed by anyone. Maybe not highly regarded overall, but in the division he was.
Both Mayweather and Pacquiao have collectively destroyed the WW division, with only guy remaining who hasn't yet been polished off - Berto.

When was Clottey highly regarded?

No, I haven't lost interest however, Mayweather vs Martinez is starting to look like a more viable/attractive alternative each an everyday. The handwriting is on the wall for a Pac vs Margarito fight as well as a Pac vs Foreman/Cotto winner so I don't expect PBF vs Pac to happen in 2010. Team Pac is doing to same shit they did during the 1st round of negotiation and haven't even gotten in contact with Team Mayweather or GBP yet. STFU!!!
I havent lost interest. I wish Roach, Arum and Pacquiao would stop talking and agree to the test though. They know what they have to do yet they continue to claim Mayweather is "ducking" the fight. lol
Despite my reluctance to engage in much discussion about the fight, my interest has actually increased tenfold. I wasn't too keen on the idea before, but after seeing both guys dominate their highly-regarded opponents this year, I want to see it more than ever.
If it never happens, it'll end up as boxing folklore which will be talked about forever - "Could Floyd Mayweather Jr. have derailed the Manny Pacquiao wrecking train? Could Manny Pacquiao have taken Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s '0' and shocked the world"?
It has to happen.
When was Clottey highly regarded? I agree with the rest of your points...
I have lost interest in their negotiations and the whole debate surrounding it. I just want someone to wake me up when the fight is signed. Until then I'll watch whatever fights are ACTUALLY happening and hopefully later this year we will finally get to see them square off.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the matter.

Am bored of the negotiation and the crying posters who run on here and start threads crying about something that doesnt involve them.
The fight would never lose interest but the negotiation are boring, dumb and sometimes unprofessional, I wish everyone would STFU and just stay silent until the fight is made.
I wish i could say i lost interest. But i wish they would stop messing about. I dont want PBF to think im desperate to watch him though. That would make him feel like he is special or something.
He is just another boxer to me. But he is supposedly the no2 boxer on the planet. So prove it.
