I don't have a problem with his give and take fight with Sergio. But he does have me wondering about why the fuck he went life and death with Cintron of all people even if it did end early. I mean, look at what Margarito and Martinez were able to do to him. Martinez should've been able to finish Cintron off and instead a lot of that ring clowning that he did cost him the win even though he dominated the fight. And Margarito beat Cintron both times like he stole something.
I am kind of starting to wonder if Williams is past his prime. I know he's still young. But how many fights has he had, over 30? That's not a whole lot. But when you have the kind of style he does, it can take it's toll on you. He'll always be a warrior though and I respect him for that.
.............................................
I think he lost his last two fights.
Martinez busted up his face,Williams made it closed throwin a lot of punches.
Cintron won 3 rounds of 4,I can't believe how they gave the decision to Williams.
Maybe Cintron jumped like a bitch,I don't know, but I know for a fact after those 4 rounds,Cintron was the winner.
SO,any person talkin about P4P TOP 10 in Williams case overrate him.
Not to mention we saw him gettin outboxed by Quintana for 12 rounds.
The guy is very flawed.
So are Williams and Cintron II going to be on the undercard of Adamek so it can actually sell tickets? Or is HBO looking for a way out of the rematch?
Do they think Cintron is a threat at ruining a rematch against Williams/Martinez?
how is he being overrated?
paul is supposed to be #3 p4p according to Hbo and hbos sheep
i will tell you his career in a nutshell
i havent put williams in my p4p and with another strange win , i will continue to leave his ass out, its like hbo protects williams so williams can become their next american showcase fighter, lol, hes 6 foot 4 or 5 and cant beat martinez properly(maybe lost to sergio according to many people) and cintron(got a split decision sideshow lost in pauls embarassing victory vs journeyman status cintron), then paul loses to quintana(a welweight journeyman with a horrible chin ), the one victory he does have vs margarito was won by paul in the first 6 rounds but marg proceeded to embarass paul in the next 5 of 6 rounds, williams best win vs wright is a win with little validation cause he fought a wright who was fat and didnt box at all anymore, a garbage version of wright:smashfrea
In the past he has been both at different times. Now I think that mostly he's being rated fairly. PW is a major player in 2 or 3 divisions, but not the unbeatable monster that some were hyping him as after the Margarito fight and the Quintana rematch.
I think for many the adage "A fighter is only as good as his last fight" is supported alot these days. Do I think Williams is an elite fighter? Not on the level some have him at but he is better than he appeared in his last two fights.
