OK...So i've been reading about all the excuses from BOTH SIDES about why this and why that....:argue:
I have a serious question to the Floyd supporters.....
All you guys do is "dis-credit" Pacquiao's wins post-Marquez II.....and here is the list according to the majority.
Diaz = Not that good to begin with....weakest champion....should've fought SOMEONE ELSE OF NOTE (even though no one was readily available)
DeLaHoya = Drained, Shot, Way Past Prime (which we all know he was except for Manny's Militia) but remember...DLH chose to fight Manny after Mayweather "retired"...and DLH ducked Margarito.
Hatton = Floyd ruined him, never the same after getting KOd by Floyd (disagree with that due to Hatton Paulie's win was probably his BEST EVER next to Kosta). Floyd supporters stated that Hatton was shot, past it, chinny, straight forward fighter....
Cotto = Drained, ruined after plaster, 1lb of muscle makes the difference between life and death....
Clottey = Human punching bag, C level fighter at best (both of which were due to Manny in my opinion), was beat by Cotto, TR kept it in house....
So here is my question.....IF MANNY IS SO 1 DIMENSIONAL, THE QUALITY OF HIS OPPONENTS SO DISGUSTING, MANNY HAS BEEN DUCKING THE "SLICK BLACK BOXING STYLE ALL HIS CAREER", DUCKED MOSLEY WHEN NO CREDIT WOULD'VE BEEN GIVEN IF MANNY BEAT HIM, FIGHTING 1 DIMENSIONAL STRAIGHT COME AT YOU FIGHTERS.....WHY IS FLOYDS REQUEST OF OST ALL OF A SUDDEN THE BIBILE TO YOU GUYS?
According to all these threads and comments....Manny is not that good and will get EXPOSED should he ever step foot in the ring with Floyd. So is the request of OST from Floyd really: A) A ploy to win the mental game with Manny? - B) A ready made excuse to not fight Manny? - C) He is really trying to clean up the sport of boxing?
For the record....Floyd looks pretty bad asking this of a fighter he claims to be able to beat easily, PEDs or not....having 3 L's on his record....handily beating JMM (which means nothing to me)....claiming to be the PPV king....
and knowing that he and Pacquiao have basically an indentical boxing career starting off at the same ages and weights. (Floyd amatuer ranks and Manny already a 15 yr old professional)
To counter that...I am fully aware of Team Pacquiao's (not Manny himself) utter BS excuses and am frankly sick and tired of hearing from Roach, Arum and other Manny's Militia......the only thing that mattered is that Manny said that he is willing to comply with the original 14-day cutoff so we should have ourselves a fight now. If Floyd took it off the table in the post Mosley interview....why wouldn't he put it back out there, and we know have ourselves the fight of our generation. Manny should've agreed to take the tests from jump...but what's done is done and I hated Manny for that.
Pacquiao has budged....Team Mayweather's stmts seem to indicate that the fight will be much harder to make (Sr's interview regarding "never fighting Manny", Floyd's post fight). Negotiate behind closed doors....Pacquiao's stmt was exactly that...A STATEMENT...not negotiating....Floyd is probably vacationing, and well deserved, but please come back with some sense, stop listening to your dumbass of a father, and everyone sign on the dotted line.
Oh yeah...please respond to my question.....and feel free to comment on my views and opinions. :fing02:
You say that you became a Mayweather fan again after he fought Mosley. What made you stop being a fan in the 1st place?
1st 24/7 series, (DLH vs Mayweather) the attitude and mouth on Floyd was so different from "Pretty Boy"....I thought to myself...Who the **** is this guy....then his retirement....BUT the manner in which he dominated Mosley and in the face of adversity (2nd round)...makes me believe that he could've handled ANY of the WWs (Cotto, Margarito, Clottey etc...) in the exact same manner....hence I am once again a believer.
You say that you have been advocating for Pacquiao to take the tests from the start, so where's your criticisms of him for ducking the testing? Where's your criticism of him accepting an offer that he knew had been revoked?
the 1st paragraph of the post you replied to should suffice...but if more criticism is needed to put you at ease...I can surely create another thread to blame Pacquiao and question his Militia and why they defend Pacquiao on his BS excuse....but this thread was asking for the "Floyd Stans" taking the OST condition as the Bible to them....
By your own admission Pacquiao has been ducking the testing, yet you put all the onus on Mayweather to accept an offer that he revoked months ago just because Pacquiao is reportedly now willing to agree to it. Doesn't seem like you're being fair and balanced to me.:fing02:
Onus for the fight breaking down goes to BOTH fighters......unless OST becomes standard testing for ALL FIGHTS....then Floyd is off the hook.....Manny on the other hand will be handed the baton as to why he ducked the most gifted boxer of our generation....
Apologies if this thread comes off as "me not being fair and balanced"....but for some strange reason....REAL BOXING THREADS seem to just disappear into the night....but the thread was directed to a certain group....I have created threads directed to Pactards as well....and have gotten some of the best laughs on the internet reading what they have to say and defending Manny...trust me bro...my hate doesn't discriminate :fing02:
Floyd doesnt care about cleaning up the sport..
He just playing mind games..
+ green K for the thread starter..
for having Hardaway in his avi... my all time favorite warrior..
Floyd could only be playing mind games if he knew Manny would say no. And then no again.

Rite on Gutz....
Mind games from Floyd....check!
BTW - Sprewell is my favorite Dub......one of the original "Professional Athlete Headaches".....so much talent...yet wasted and overshadowed by off the court antics....
Morales struggled to make the first fight at 130, After the fight he said he had a hard time making 130 nowadays and he would like to move up to 135. He then fight Raheem at 135 and for the second Pacquiao fight he asked to come in at 132 since Roach refuse the rematch at 135. since they knew he couldnt make the weight they then put a weight penalty in the contract if Morales ever come in overweight. (600,000?)
I know about that part.....
Diddn't know about the penalty.......hmm......very interesting....
Thanks guys....Green K to Ray and Dazed for providing some actual knowledge....:fing02:
Wow...was not aware of that Dazed...must've been that FINE @$$ PRINT....

This is why the whole "let's follow the commission" and the "oh, it's never been done before" reasons don't fly. Because Manny ignored both!

Pacquiao did something unheard of (where's the precedent?) when he bypassed the commission and demanded that Erik Morales pay a six-figure fine if he came in a pound overweight in their second and third bouts. Even though Morales had never, ever failed to make weight.

Refresh my memory on that one Dazed.....

Not unprecedented and not insane. No more insane then when Manny introduced his own weight penalty rules against Erik Morales. Shocking?

the rest sounds like a Manny fan perspective so whatever but one thing I would like to point out is that you state Manny budged
but didn't Mayweather budge LONG before that with the final offer of 14 days? Hadn't his position been all the way up to the fight?
so wouldn't you say Mayweather budged first?
Earner......thanks for breaking down.....very much appreciated. :fing02:
Negotiations happened this way....and correct me if I'm wrong....
#1 Floyd -> OST , #2 Manny -> 3 Tests (promo kickoff, 30days before and right after in locker room), #3 Floyd -> 14 days, #4 Manny -> 24 days, NEGOTIATIONS BREAK DOWN, #5 Floyd -> Full Random OST (supposedly), #6 Manny -> 14 days......#7 Floyd's move right? So either Floyd stays firm on his FULL RANDOM OST or budges.....either way...its his move.
And to answer your question.....YES.....Floyd budged 1st (see #3)...but Manny has budged from his previous stance....and that is what I was referring to.
LOL but WHAT a thing to bring to the table, unprecedented maybe? Not saying its bad, but certainly a shock
Weight penalty, come on that was only because floyd came in over weight for the marquez fight, now that was a lack of respect right there
Not unprecedented and not insane. No more insane then when Manny introduced his own weight penalty rules against Erik Morales. Shocking?
Way to look at it as a Flomo.... Yeah Floyd done everything right huh??? unfortunately the world wont see it like you. Who was the paranoid accuser before any request for OST come about.. You come here talking about floyds feelings being laughed at and shit..boo hoo hoo... STHU flomo

And now on to the intelligent repsonse......
THE BIGGER PICTURE IS JUST THAT.......
Floyd's ideas and requests were shitted on...not just by Pactards....but by the media and boxing "experts" alike (although it is pretty much split right down the middle).
I was one that hated Manny for not agreeing to OST from the jump.....but as time went on, little things (excuses) started coming up from everyone BUT Manny.....so Manny himself started to look real bad.....not as bad as Floyd requesting the OST...but bad enough to where people started to question IF HE REALLY WAS CLEAN....= Floyd accomplished what he wanted to do.....he won if Manny agreed....he won by planting the seed of doubt on Manny....
Manny diddn't do himself any favors by using the "feel weak" excuse AFTER THE FACT that his team had already answered for him (where was his Legal Advisor?)
Manny proved though that pre-fight and post-fight tests with Clottey came out negative....and Floyd proved that OST worked great against Mosley....
Both sign on the dotted line and settle the debate....
fightfan, your post is a solid, respectful one that warrants a respectful reply. I think it's sad people seek to discredit Pacquiao's wins by downing his opponents. I thought both Oscar and Cotto would beat him but what do I know? He gets full credit from me, especially the Cotto victory and the manner in which it was done. There is no questioning Pac's skills - he is a true ATG.
I also think it's sad people have to debate against the dumb arguments of d*ckriders to boost their own. No need, Pac's accomplishments stand on their own just fine, regardless of what they say.
So with that said, I ask that you place yourself in Mayweather's shoes. Everyone claimed you were all about the money and not seeking challenges. You agreed to a 50/50 split. Gloves. Weight penalty. But the one thing you requested was spat on, ridiculed and ultimately tossed to the side. A mediator was brought in and you tried to compromise. Instead, the other side laughs at your compromise and makes another fight the next day. Then they go further to mock you by saying that you have no intentions of fighting the only other viable threat out there and the fighter himself (Manny) says you're going to lose to that threat. Furious, you take your compromise off the table and declare that next time, negotiations will take place on different terms.
So what happens? You implement full testing in your next fight and win in dominating fashion against the guy you were avoiding forever. Now you have all the leverage. And a precedent with regards to the testing has been set. Guess who comes crawling back? How does Manny look now to Floyd? If he thought the guy was juicing before, he's convinced now. I too hope this fight will happen. But don't be surprised if it doesn't. And based on the series of events, I think we know where to point the finger.
LOL but WHAT a thing to bring to the table, unprecedented maybe? Not saying its bad, but certainly a shock

Diaz = Not that good to begin with....weakest champion....should've fought SOMEONE ELSE OF NOTE (even though no one was readily available)
was he not? it's not like Diaz had done anything of note in fact the belt he won only by outlasting Santa Cruz who clearly outboxed him.
he is at best a mediocre fighter
DeLaHoya = Drained, Shot, Way Past Prime (which we all know he was except for Manny's Militia) but remember...DLH chose to fight Manny after Mayweather "retired"...and DLH ducked Margarito.
I dont know about the shot stuff but he was drained as evidenced by his inability to gain any weight post weigh in
Hatton = Floyd ruined him, never the same after getting KOd by Floyd (disagree with that due to Hatton Paulie's win was probably his BEST EVER next to Kosta). Floyd supporters stated that Hatton was shot, past it, chinny, straight forward fighter....
well by the same standard do we just forget about the Lazcano fight where this normally average puncher had Hatton hurt at least twice?
Cotto = Drained, ruined after plaster, 1lb of muscle makes the difference between life and death....
I think this is a solid win not only for the name but the manner at which Manny won
Clottey = Human punching bag, C level fighter at best (both of which were due to Manny in my opinion), was beat by Cotto, TR kept it in house....
he's not a C but I think most people knew Clottey would not be able to keep up with Manny for a full 12 but we didn't know he would literally pack it in after one round and yes TR did keep this in house but not that it matters IMO

FAct its called olympic style for a reason fact he agreed to it up to a surtain point fact mayweather is trying to smear Pac out of the ring because hes afraid to fight him in it and all this amounts to one answer that flomo's will never admit .
#1 - Read your posts before hitting "submit reply".....
#2 - If he's afraid to fight Pac...why did he fight Mosley....the guy Freddie diddn't want Manny fighting (at that time)?
Intelligent reply only....please:fing02:
