I was unable to watch Perez-Mares....

I had mares winning by two rounds mares won 1-2-3-9-10-11-12

TBH I had Mares winning a very close fight.....I wouldn't call it a robbery though.....they were to evenly matched fighters and I just thought Mares did enough to win the fight.....no robbery though and I still think Mares has a bright future ahead, those were some brutal body shots!!! i was rooting for perez, but i think mares won 7-5.....i did give him a very close round though......but i think if anyone won it was mares......they went at it early, mares was getting the better of it, then perez's will started taking over and mares seemed to want to get on his bike and was getting picked apart with effective punches........going into the last 4 rounds, it seemed like perez was gonna drown the young man, but mares found home with body shots and went into a late rally to IMO pull the fight by a hair.... mares was busier and landed more.....but through 10 rounds, yohnny was landing harder and being more effective...the body shots late by mares made it his fight though......great fight....nice result.... Not surprising about the body punches, Mabuza worked the body well early on, seemed to slow Perez down late, which allowed Mabuza to take over late. Judging form what I've read, Mares seems to have worked the body late, thought he would've done it early. mares actually had a higher output, i believe. Really? That's interesting, I would've thought Perez had the higher output, but Mares picking his shots and leaning the cleaner blows.

I think both fighters need a break before a rematch happens if a rematch does happen any time soon. Perez has been in a war in 2 fights I seen him in, and I didn't see him in the fight where he got a tko in 12th round. So he might have been in 3 wars!

It was understandable. I had Mares up 2 rounds towards the end but it was a close fight and Perez was winning the middle rounds and he was the champ so not really suprising. Was a good fight they will do it again no doubt.

He thought it was pick em fight before the fight happened. Like you know, his prediction? He slightly favored Perez going in. What doesn't add up exactly?

I had it 115--113 for Mares as well. But, have no problem with the draw. Nobody was robbed. People just like to throw that word for every close fight nowadays.

I'm happy with the draw because I would love to see a rematch. Mares finished very strong, and in really close fights; thats important.

i missed some rounds, so i can't really say who won. the decision was good, though, and in no way a robbery.

It was a war. The rounds were close but I thought Abner did enough to win he had Perez on that back foot too at times. I scored it 115-113 Mares..... It was a great fight which is why people are saying a draw was fair. You really dont mind a draw when its all action like that but IMO Mares won the fight.

I think the decision was fair and in reality probably a blessing in disguise for Mares. Had he won he probably would have had to face someone tougher that could capitalize on a lot of flaws he still possesses.
