Just wondering... Or do you believe a fighter can be so talented to whoop everyones ass and still keep that precious 0 of theirs? I personally think everyone can be beaten, but if you pick your career perfectly then you can keep that precious 0.
I think some fighters pick the perfect opportunities to fight a fighter with names!
Not when they've got an airtight resume like Nenad Borovcanin

Prospects who are undefeated, you already know about them, their green. But Elite guys with undefeated records, Chris John, Floyd, Ward, you can't question them.
Chris John has some skills and has fought a few decent opponents, but he has only fought 1 really elite opponent (Juan Manuel Marquez). Ward looked good against Kessler and it is possible he will continue to stay undefeated for a while, but so far Kessler is the only elite opponent he has faced. Neither of them are at all comparable to Mayweather in terms of opposition faced.
I can't think of another boxer who has stayed undefeated after fighting as many quality opponents as Mayweather has.
I give credit to Floyd for beating the guys you mentionned. Until 2007/8 Fmoyd was willing to fight everyone. Floyd should have fought Cotto but it"s not like he was fighting bums all these times. I agree on that.
I wasn't trying to diss Cotto. I was just making a point with the topic title. It's obvious what the topic is getting at. Then you got people comming in saying yeah, Floyd shoulda blah blah blah. So I used Cotto as an example because it wasn't like he was a giant slayer himself during those times.
Cotto-Floyd was never going to happen. Fans would have loved to see it, Arum didn't want to do business with Floyd. Arum practically hates Floyd.
Please do go on.
He fought Zab Judah, whom Floyd beat, yet no one gives Floyd credit for. He fought DeMarcus Corley, whom Floyd beat, yet no one gives Floyd credit for. He fought N'dou, whom Floyd gave brain damage, yet no one gives Floyd credit for. He faught Paulie Malignaggi, Urkal... who else do you want to add?
I'm just making a point on this topics title. Because it's just an indirect way to diss Floyd for being undefeated. Yet you get these Floyd haters, like ModernTalking, who are saying he should have fought Cotto, when Cotto himself, going based on this topic title, didn't fight anyone himself before Mosley.

That's not true. He fought Zab Judah who was in the top 3 at the moment, undefeated "future puerto rican star" Quintana, Olympic Gold medalist Abdulaev...
And we can go on and on..

No. I don't.
Who did Cotto fight before Mosley? No one. Yet, people think Floyd should have fought him because he was undefeated? See where the topic starts to fail?
I don't question an undefeated fighter. It's waaaay to hard to go undefeated in boxing after 20 fights. Or any sport for that matter.

Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr. is undefeated. Therefore he is the greatest fight ever. There is no blueprint to beat JCC.
are you seriously trying to compare jcc to floyd? you are a clown. give a guy props for being undefeated and accept it
modern....stop praying and wishing for floyd to get a loss. Its obvious that this is killing you that he never lost. Pray that your boy pac can land a shot similar to hatton and then follow up.

Depends on how far along in their career they are.....
0 Losses - up to 15 wins = acceptable. We understand that you are building yourself up, padding your record and gaining confidence. (FNF/BAD Undercard)
Ex. - Henry Lundy (LW) 18-0 (10KOs)...time for a real challenge...
0 Losses - up to 20/25 wins = gut check time. The time for padding and confidence is over....get in their with some of the bigger names (contenders/gatekeepers) and make some noise for yourself. (PPV Undercards)
Ex. - Andre Berto (WW) 26-0 (20KOs)...had some good fights against some gatekeepers (Quintana, Forbes) and a "war" with a excellent fighter (Collazo) and he came out on top. Time to get in there with the elite's.
0 Losses - 30 and more wins = Under the microscope. Ok...your a seasoned fighter now...regardless of the level of competition you've faced....its your fault and your TEAM'S (promo/mgmt) fault for not getting you in there with the bigger names. If your 30-0...there should be no reason you haven't been on a decent PPV undercard or fighting as a co-feature on HBO Championship Boxing / PPV. You better have a good # of recognizable names on your resume or your getting S*****D on.
Ex. - Chavez Jr. (MW) 41-0 (30KOs)...Nobody of importance on his resume....been fighting for the better part of 7 yrs professionally now, his father is one the the GREATEST MEXICAN FIGHTERS in the history of boxing....so why is he still fighting nobodies? Again..HIS TEAM....Top Rank and Mgmt. and protecting him too much.
Some exceptions to the rule......
Andre Ward - 21-0 (13KOs).....Exceptional skills for a SMW, not as athletic as say RJJ...but techincally superior to RJJ (sorry Reed). He will win the Super 6
Timothy Bradley - 25-0 (11KOs)....Great boxing skills...stays focused on that...doesn't look for the KO, so doesn't leave him open to many counters...good names on his resume and wants to add more.
Floyd Jr. - 41-0 (25KOs)...We KNOW....nuff said.
Why didn't Cotto, Kostya(too late for this one), Mosley(happen earlier), Margarito, Williams?
I'm not defending Floyd Mayweather but i'm telling the truth, Floyd's undefeated record is for real and not a fraud like Chavez.Jr. Putting them in the same sentence is an insult for Floyd. Look at his resume and you'll say that it's probably the best undefeated record i've seen since Trinidad's 41-0.
On the other hand, i must agree with the fact that Floyd ducked Cotto and Margarito and rather "retired" (in 2008) to avoid both.
He called out Kosta but Kosta was too busy fighting the Ricky Hattons of this world.
Williams has never been a top 3 WW, fact.
Mosley had a toothache and wanted to wait until Floyd fought Margarito; knowing that Floyd was shit scared of the mexican mauler.
No. I don't.

You dont' go 41-0 and 6 time world champion in different 5weight classes fighting pussies. Like it or not, Floyd beat everybody at 130 and 135: Angel Manfredy, Gennaro Hernandez, Jose Luis Castillo and Diego Corrales. At 147 he fought Mosley who was coming off a great win over number 1 WW, Margarito.
To answer the question, YES.
Julio JR. + Saul Alvarez's record <<<<< Juan Manuel Marquez's record.
Why didn't Cotto, Kostya(too late for this one), Mosley(happen earlier), Margarito, Williams? And it looks like Pacquiao fight won't happen because someone had to accuse someone of cheating. Cotto says he never ducked Mayweather JR., and so do the other fighters that I read interviews with. I believe them before I believe Floyd.
Most feel that when the best fight the best losses are inevitable, so when that loss doesn't come it's only natural that people will look at their resume and question it.

I think all if not most fighters pick the perfect opportunity to fight fighters with names.
Not really because if you heard of the fighter most likely they fought at least 5 top fighters. My question is this: Is it fair to question somebody that admits he can't pass a steroid test?
