Are you a boxing fan or a drug testing fan????

I just find it funny how the current state of testing boxers was fine up until now. The mayweathers cry "Steroids" and now all of a sudden every fighter who's never OSDT is dirty. I'm all for clean fighters. There's a way to go about it though. A single fighter cant pick and choose who he wants tested via OSDT. Make it mandatory for all fighters that way there's no issues like the one we had that canceled the Floyd/Pac fight. I don't think anyone ever thought the current state of testing boxers was fine up until now. There had been whistleblowers in the months leading up to this from Doctors Flip Homansky and Dr. Margaret Goodman. Think about it. Who are they? They are the last two people who oversaw Boxing in Nevada. And as they first blew the whistle, things have trickled down to now even us oblivious fans are beginning to see how big of an issue this really is. It's good you're all for testing but if you want to see it implemented, you have to realize that it's going to take a fighter standing up for it in order to make that happen. That fighter may even be a jerk (see: Jose Canseco). But the fans have to stand by the message. Don't start saying, "Let's go to the commissions." That's an excuse. Anyone with common sense can see that commissions are not trying to do a damn thing. They did nothing to Shane Mosley. Nothing to Roy Jones. Nothing to Richard Hall. They have covered up for even bigger stars. And they refused to investigate further when fighters like Evander Holyfield were linked to steroid rings by the national authorities (and the media!!!). The commission's are committed to keeping the problem under a lid, and yet an alarming amount of fighters are still getting caught. Please note that most states don't even test for steroids! Can you imagine how many would be exposed if the commissions tried just a little? Pacquiao needs to take those tests man, no two ways about it. And if you support OST, you should tell him and anyone else the same for these very reasons.

You're right. Every state has their own commission when it comes to testing athletes for sporting events. And none of them have the same laws, making it one huge big ole mess. Sure individual players don't ask in other sports but those other sports have oversight. Boxing has none.

I am a fan of clean boxing. Only way to be sure of that is with testing. Your poll provides no real answer. It's a straw man, aka a fallacy. Even with more stringent testing, there will always be a way around it. We will never now if a fighter is completely clean.

The accusations of any fighter on steroids is ridiculous. People now saying Klitschkos, Haye, Pacquiao are all cheaters... It's ****ing ridiculous. Well according to Floyd and his fans, if you dont take the OST style test then their is a possibility you are on steroids..

there has been no drug testing issues a year ago not until some crackhead cocaine smuggler started pointing fingers without any shreds of proof then evrybody got caught up to the hype and on top of that, the hatton and cotto recent annihilations made somebody more uncomfortable and frightened than usual. i dont give a flying eff about this drug test anymore, this was the prime reason that kiled the biggest fight there is last march 13. just get it done. period.

Would you rather baseball not clean up the sport and continue to allow juicers like McGwire, Sosa, and Bonds to rule the sport?
