But before you all start going on at me about that isn't his argument!! But the thing was is that it was!! It was the fact he don't like needles that was the first thing said. Then he changed it to he don't like being drained of his blood!!!
Pac is not afraid of needles and nowhere you can find he said that. It was Arum or someone close to him said that trying to find excuses why Pac did not submit to Floyd order/command. Pac knows Floyd trying to get mental advantage over him so he refused to be bully around. Those not fans of both can see that clearly.
Lol. People are so naive. Look, whether or not Pacquiao is using, isn't really the issue here.
Mayweather doesn't want to clean up the sport. If he did, he would have started a long time ago. You think Mayweather only RECENTLY heard of Olympic-style drug testing? C'mon. Don't be foolish.
In some ways, he wanted a way of making Pacquiao do what he had to do in order to get a fight. He wanted the position of power. Phil Jackson does this a lot, in terms of psychology. He says something that challenges an opposing player in some way, to get them to do what he'd rather them do, then he knows that mentally, he already has the advantage.
Floyd wanted Pacquiao to bend to his idea in hopes of making it seem as if he calls the shots and that he's in control.
Pacquiao might be afraid of needles. Tattoo's and testing are totally different things. Feel different, do different things to the body and you get them done for totally different reasons.
Pacquiao isn't an idiot. He knew what Floyd was trying to do. He was trying to get a mental leverage. And before Pacquiao fought, ever time a test happened, he would remember that Floyd FORCED this to happen. Mayweather wanted to bank on this, knowing that he was getting inside the head of Pacquiao. Pacquiao has said "no" because he doesn't want to allow this to happen.
Pacquiao knows that if he gives in to this demand, then he looks like the guy who NEEDS the fight. When, in reality, to make the kind of money that both will end up making, they both need each other. If it takes the other guy as much as it takes yourself to generate the money that will be generated, then both fighters are needed.
But, psychologically, Floyd wanted some sort of an advantage. Pacquiao didn't allow it.
Pacquiao isn't afraid of needles, and probably isn't worried about being drained. Floyd doesn't want to clean up the sport and probably doesn't think Manny uses PEDs. It's all negotiation tactics. All there is to it.

Did Pac really seriouslly said that he is afraid of needles? or it is you who is putting your word into his mouth... :)
:pat:
First off, it was Roach and possibly Arum who said that. Schaefer, Oscar, Ellerbe, and Floyd went off with the "You're telling me he's scared of needles?" shit to the media.
I don't believe Pac personally said it. You might need to find a quote.
Then Arum brought up, "I'm dealing with a superstitious Filipino." Which was now Pac's "second" excuse.
The only thing I've heard Pac say was that it makes him weak and that Floyd has the bigger physical advantage with the blood test.
what's the point? i got a big tattoo on my back & it hurt like hell when i put it on; i hate going to the doc to draw blood for tests!!!
Of course u hate getting blood drawn..who's suppose to enjoy it really?..
But the day u get offered $30 million+ for a few blood tests and u reject the blood tests then u can have a valid point..period!..
