Paulie isn't a power puncher but he does throw stingers which can cause bruises or cuts. In the first fight he cut Juan Diaz in the 2nd round. Khan didn't sustain a cut I think, but he did look like he'd been in a fight. Should add to Khan's ring experience, so a good sign imo. The Salita 1st round KO was too quick and comfortable so it didn't really improve Khan's experience level.
On his twitter he said he ate some elbows and headbutts. Theres your answer.. You seemed to ignore that on the last page.
I'll have to review the fight instead of believe Khan, the way people on here do when he "called out" Maidana lol.
I'll check, I don't believe that's Lou. As i said, even if Hatton fought me he'd still get marked up.
Had Khan fought Malignaggi like he did Kotelnik, his face wouldn't have been that marked up.
Khan had no respect for Paulie's punching power, and therefore took more risks, and got hit in the process, end of.
I expect Khan will fight Maidana like he did Kotelnik.
Isn't that Lou Dibella on the back of Ricky? Lou promotes Lazcano too?

I'm pretty sure that was after Lazcano. Like i said, Ricky gets marked up always.

Oh right, I forgot about all the oher boxers who get it but don't get marked up like he did for the first time in his career against alight puncher in a fight everyone said he won with ease.
So what? Some people mark up in certain fights?
Calzaghe got marked up against B-Hop and it was hardly a war, some fighters go through wars and come out looking OK. Margarito after the Mosley and Cotto fights had a bit of swelling but not that much..
I've seen much worse from much less punishment, Khan ate some jabs. Hatton was marked up after the Paulie fight from eating some jabs in the early going....

See the first part of my original post.
you're not going to believe this is after the malignaggi fight, but it's true.

Malignaggi throws basically one punch (the jab) and lands it in the same place over and over again. Khan wasn't doing much to get out the way of them either.

Ricky Hatton had swollen eyes and blackeyes the day after the Malignaggi fight.
Ricky Hatton gets marked up in every single fight. I don't recall Khan ever marked up.
Having a Royal Doulton chin and getting marked up in the face has nothing to do with each other.
He got hit in the face in a boxing match. That's the answer to your original question, and it's a fucking stupid one at that.

Because it's boxing? What a dumb question.
Was Mayweather marked up after eating massive shots from Mosley in round 2?
Next attempt at an answer please.
paulie landed some good shots in the first round.. it was competitive the first few rounds.. khan made a fan outta me that night tho.. i really didnt like him previously.. but hes pretty good.. paulie landed the left hook alot in the fight.. khan needs to watch out for that
I've seen all Khan's fights, he is very open to left hooks and it's his weakness. Gomez had him down on a left hook too, his opponents are aware of it.
