Andre Ward is not going to be able to outbox Allan Green the same way he did Kessler. Green is much more athletic than Kessler and is also more adept at cutting off the ring to set up his power shots. It should be an interesting fight. I think that if Green is able to hit Ward (and believe he will be because Ward is not really a slick boxer like Dirrell) he'll be able to get him out of there. I'd actually rather see Green win and know he's definitely capable of defeating Ward.
I think he will I say Green KO 3 rds but im pulling for Ward and I hope he wins but I think Allen Green is forreal and he has nothing to lose and those guys are the most dangerous
He only has a puncher's chance and not a very good one IMO. He would have to catch Ward with that left hook and I'm sure Ward and his trainer are going to be focused on neutralizing it.
“I hit a lot harder then Andre Ward. I can afford to make a mistake, he cannot.”That's actually true with some modification, Green lost by KO to Miranda, but ward isn't hitting that hard anyway, but if ward let his guard down for a moment, he will soon regret it :D
No, if you break green down he is kinda of an one handed fighter with an average defense. Ward is a very well rounded fighter so besides punching power everythin Green does good Ward does just better.
I think Ward will win it by a wide margin or even by a late stoppage.
Green by KO in the 5th..you heard it from southpaw_07...
BTW, I had Katsidis in the 3rd by KO..check my old posts :D
Everyone is talking about AA's power but Green in my opinion is the hardest puncher in the tournament, punches like a horse kicks..wait until he connect with Ward's chin
From Allan Green
“I honestly don’t think he will ever get in the ring with me,” said Green. “I don’t think this is a fight Andre Ward and his people ever wanted. If I had my way he’d take a cortisone shot and fight. I seriously doubt he’s ever going to fight me. I hope it’s valid because there’s been a lot put into this from everybody involved and there’s no time to play games.
“If he were fighting Jermain Taylor or Sakio Bika,” Green continued, “I’m sure he’d be good to go right now. I’m a fighter. I fight through bumps, bruises and injuries and we go through that. I fought Tarvis Simms with a bad right shoulder. If your knee keeps getting hurt it would be something chronic and you’re probably not going to be ready in six weeks. If your knee is swollen, just take a cortisone shot, stop bitching and get your ass in the ring.”
“I just don’t see anyone who can beat me. I’ve watched all the fighters over and over. I’ve studied all of them and know I can beat any of them, including Ward.”
“I here him say ‘I’m a warrior and this and that.’ The truth is he’s not. I know for a fact I will blow him out of the water.”
“I hit a lot harder then Andre Ward. I can afford to make a mistake, he cannot.”
“There is nobody in the tournament that can beat me. Nobody.”
After hearing the braggadocios words of Green, the always-classy Ward had some comments of his own:
