Pretty good episode. Still amazes me to this day that Baldomir was able to pull out the win against Judah. agree.....but he said it best "i knew Judah was making the mistake of overlooking me......"

I don't give Floyd a whole lot of props for this win even though the fight may have been a necessity. The dude went on to lose to Forrest in a one-sided boxing lesson like the one he got from Floyd.

You sited "one" example, I recall ring magazine giving Baldo almost no chance against Gatti and they were even more adament about it when he fought Floyd. "sited" ??

Fuk Horus you think HBO is gonna let Steward torpedo the fight and come out saying "Baldomir has no chance"? Horus use your head because Steward does this for every fight he calls on HBO. He talks up the underdog before the fight and by the middle of the fight when the underdog is getting blasted he starts say "this is exactly how I saw the fight going".

He was the undisputed WW champion at the time. And he had an easier time with a prime Judah than Cotto did with a faded Judah. I think he deserves much more credit than ppl give him. before this fight people were saying baldo was a real threat to floyd..brian keeny even accused floyd of ducking baldo so brian kenny speaks for the whole boxing population? That was a good countdown. You know, it's funny how people wanna bash on Floyd and not give him credit for fighters he's fought, especially this fight, but when you watch it, everyone talks about how big of a challenge this would be. Yea, some may have wanted him to fight certain fighters, and I'm one of them, but he has a good resume and he's capitalized on every opportunity. He's managed his career very well, and he has taken risks. He shouldn't get criticized like he is on here. You can pick out any fighter today, and name a few fighters you wish he'd have fought. Enough is enough, and people need to learn to respect Floyd for the great fighter he is and be thankful that we get to watch one of the best of all time.

Thanks for posting, I remember my friends and I watched this and it convinced us to drive to Vegas the next day and see the fight live. Not a competitive fight but it was a good time.

I've said it many times before and will say it again; the only thing wrong with Baldomir is that he fought Floyd. Once you do that, you become old, a bum, etc.

The point is, Baldomir was considered to be one of Floyd's easiest opponents before and after the fight. Sure, there were those blinded by their dislike who claimed that Floyd was ducking or would lose to Baldomir, but the fact remains that the majority of the boxing community gave Baldomir no chance. I don't see why some Floyd fans go out of their way to make it seem like the whole world was against Floyd in this fight. No one gave Baldo a chance against Judah or Gatti. But they began to have some respect for Baldo, and while he was a heavy underdog, many still thought there was a chance he coould pull it off.
