WTF is going on here? When is Uchiyama going to fight a real opponent?
This is like Deontay Wilder going up against Wladamere Klitschko.
Uchiyama is a bum!!!!!!!!!
This is one of those absurd title fights that has absolutely no business happening and serves only to fatten the pockets of a "champion" who apparently has no real ambition and a sanctioning body that will give a green light to just about anything.
It feels pointless to complain about fights like these sometimes, but you know, I'll never get over wanting this sport to seem more like a sport and less like it's nothing but business in situations like this. In the end, I guess I can just hope that when Uchiyama inevitably chews this guy up and spits him out, the WBA has a plan for what's next, like maybe matching Uchiyama with Jorge Linares, should Linares get past Francisco Lorenzo in his next fight. Or anything else that's remotely credible, so that we don't wind up with a complete joke of a title being defended by a very talented boxer.
Looks like someone hasn't looked hard enough.
Wooooooaah. I tried as hard as I could without getting pissed off from all the bs advert sites. :lol1:
If you know where I can watch it, hook me up with a link then.
Nah. I can't find a video of it anywhere. If you got a video of it, hook me up with it so I can see it.

Given Uchiyama's advanced age it's not surprising that he's getting a soft touch first, and maybe another after.
Uchiyama has talked about fighting Linares, who has already beaten Lorenzo, BTW. Both are co-promoted by Teiken, and due to Linares' popularity in Japan and Uchiyama's style, it could turn out to be a fairly big fight over there.
BTW, you called him a bum and a very talented boxer in the same post. :lol1:
lol, I totally agree. I never believed Uchiyama was great, he was just the better guy the night he won the title.
Linares will get his crown back, trust.
