Max Kellerman

Max is okay, but Larry is/was way, way better.

If anything, Max Kellerman is the closest representative on TV to the majority of posters who come on here every day. You can tell he's crazy about boxing, is super critical and can be a nut-hugger. Sound familiar? Max is cool in my book.

I like him. He did a good job last night.

How times change. 2 years ago, 90% of ppl hated him. Now, 90% like him. Me? meh, he's grown on me, i used to like it when he was on espn and teddy atlas would rip him for being 'college educated'. Still, he's improved

When he first started I couldn't stand the man now he is one of the top boxing broadcasters out there. I couldn't disagree with you more.

Hes light years better than Merchant. merchants wants to see competitive fights. kellerman likes watching stylists. different strokes for different folks

I love Max Kellerman. I used to catch his ESPN Radio show every day before he quit. I live for the fights when he's in there over Merchant. I just feel like he's very similar to me, so I tend to agree with what he says. I thought he was great last night, too. When Harold Lederman retires, I think he should take over as unofficial scorer. Anyone else feel Max kellerman is always detracting from the fighters and the matchups and boxing in general? max is the man out here in nyc he had a radio show and had large following plus the guy breaks it down he even took a shot at khan and roach yesterday when he said when up coming fighter has a suspect chin you match him up agaisnt a fighter like paulie due to the lack of power he even said roach is the best matchmaker when it comes to getting fighters that his fighters could beat

He's better then Merchant.. Merchant trashes good fights that people are paying $50.00 for. Who wants to hear a grumpy old man whining and putting down a fighter for dominating another fighter with ease? A fight being $50 doesn't make it good either lol. Oscar vs Floyd, though was a decent fight, was no where near worth the $59-60...even if you're riding hard for either Oscar or Floyd. Plus, it's good to have somewhat of a dynamic with commentators. How dumb is it if all the commentators are "Yes" men? All sports has their commentators who maybe don't or do favor certain athletes according to what they like. There's a level of unbiased comments that are needed during fights, but I dont mind seeing some of these guys' own opinion and not what you're "expecting" to hear. Plus, if you have your own opinion set, just roll with that. Relying on what Merchant says about Floyd won't make the public hate Floyd any more or less than people do with or without Merchant's comments.

WTF boxing fans probably would like to know what they say to each other. Max is great man I just wanted to know because of all the hate they showed in the pre fight hype... Max is good when he does his pre-recorded segments they show during B.A.D, but sometime he rambles too much, though not as bad as Larry Merchant.

bob aint bad himself.. i get the sense that he doesnt have alot of boxing history knowledge, but he calls the fights great.. i think lampley has gotten progressively worse with time.. merchant is done.. manny stew is great.. tarver is good..
