Flashy yes, but not slick. Whether he moved or not, he still doesn't move his head much, gets tagged too easily and just flat out doesn't do all the necessary things to considered a "slick fighter"
He's a fake slick fighter, and and fake good boxer.
He looks slick, flashy, and like he can box, but hes pretty basic.
It's funny how quickly people forgot he hasnt beat anyone expect a over-weight Juan Diaz. And that he got a gift decision against Njoudjo.
Totally agree. His persona made his rep more than his skills did.
sounds like something Max Kellerman would say!
Lolz. Actually, I was referring to some resident NSB posters. :D
George Foreman called Ledwabba a "Master Boxer" I think he was slick until the Pac fight.

Actually, he was called a master boxer by some. Two things I do like about Paulie are his chin and fighting spirit... then, nothing else.
I never thought he was slick because he gets hit too much but he can make a fight ugly with his foot movement and his style.
hahahahahahahahhahahahahahha..........
For once I agree with u PACSIRIS, Paulie does see himself as a Whitaker, Mayweather type defensively but he's clearly not even close, getting tagged repeatedly by Amir Khan is so not slick.
LOL....I'm not gonna lie, you calling me Pacsiris is pretty damn funny. I might change my username to that because it's kinda catchy.
he was just trying to use his speed all night to get out khan's range then come back in an then get back out, an what sucked is when he realized that wasn't going to work because of khan's speed he had no plan b an wasn't even putting his hands up to block punches.

You have said he was slick many times in writing and in person, fuss up.

Yeah I heard that as well. I also heard Roach tell Khan to go to the body as well and when Amir did he hurt Paulie really badley. I felt if he would have done that more like Roach told him, he could have stopped khan with a body shot a lot earlier in the fight.
Yep-Yep.... just rewatched the fight and it was after the 2nd round Roach told him to feint more and then Paulie would use his lead and duck down, then after the 4th I believe he told him to keep going to the body (and then throughout said keep going from the head to the body).
I thought it was funny in Paulies post fight interview when he told Max "It kinda seemed like I ran into a clone of myself, except he was stronger, faster and hits harder." Well then Paulie, he can't be a clone of you if he was better than the original you. LOL. He just simply outclassed you Paulie.
Even with that said, I believe Kahn still has A LOT of things to learn, defense being a big part. He is VERY hittable right now. I believe if he would have been fighting Alexander last night that there could have been a descent chance he could've gotten knocked out by Alexander. And Maidana skills are under rated, and he has a huge punch and a HUGE heart! Even after having been put down several times by Ortiz, Maidona still came back and beat the ever livin cow pie out of Ortiz. Heart is my favorite feature in a boxer, I know that sounds a little corny but without it, the sweet science means nothing when the hand meats the face.
Roach and Kahn work well together though, and Kahn seems to adapt to what Roach is teaching him. I think he will improve greatly through more training with Roach, however, I hope it's before he takes on any of the top 3 fighter mentioned by Kahn as next opponents
slick= sweet pea.lol
paulie is not slick.but has the slick factor and slick style or slick moves. or slick wanna be moves..
i hate him, but i hate khan more. much respect though.
i was upset.
Paulie's style works against smaller fighters, you can't just let your hands down against Khan as if he was a small pressure fighter like Diaz. Khan was just too good, Malignaggi's defense is lacking but he has excellent reflexes, he should learn about defense with the mayweathers.
I think Roach told Kahn after round 3 I think "I want you to feint him more... when you do, he dips down to the right and you can catch him everytime". Although Kahn didn't really do it much, it was absolutely true.

i always though he was a slick operator and to be honest i was waaayyyy wrong. i remember his fight vs ndou where he showed a good defence, good combinations and he slipped alot of shots.
now that i think about it though any fighter who is easily tagged by hatton and cotto (neither are very sharp punchers), can't really be all that slick. imo paulie had very poor footwork at times as well, at some points he was pulling out of clinches in straight lines and he didn't seem to realize that he was in range until too late.
is this the end for him?
