Malignaggi's style resembles Floyd's slick D. Im not saying he has the same hand speed, ring smarts or superior reflex like Floyd (conditioning, quickness.. this list can go on), but the angles of their positions are so congruent.
good idea but the problem is that Roach and Manny probably hate Paulie more then they do Floyd and Paulie don't like either of them
it is NOBODY that you can spar with that can help you prepared for Floyd though and that is the disadvantage many of his opponents have, sure Paulie is slick but he don't move or fight like Mayweather nor does he have the Defense like him

What the hell are you watching? Paulie comes forward behind double, triple jabs and maybe slips in a right hand now and then. Floyd walks back, almost exclusively throwing left hooks and straight rights. They're nothing alike.
yeah, thats cool. What about the Floyd thing though? I think Floyd could stop Pac but its not like he has to stop him to win. No doubt Senior doesnt like the Southpaw thing and I feel the same way. The bad thing for Floyd is that the 3 guys the people want to see him fight the most right now are all Southpaws in Pac, Williams, and Martinez. Still, he's shown in every fight with Lefties that he may take a few rounds to adjust but once he does, he shuts them out the rest of the way.
I think Pac has to knock him out early or hurt him bad enough early that it lingers for a long time like Forrest did to Shane in there 1st fight. If he doesnt do neither in the first 4 rounds then I think Floyd will put it on him the rest of the way. I do think it is genuinely possible for Pac to catch him early though because sometimes Floyd seems a little cold early, sometimes seems a little nervous like against Hatton, sometimes he takes awhile to adjust (espically against Southpaws), and sometimes he seems to need to get hit clean 1st before he wakes up.
There's no doubt that Mayweather can adjust fast to different styles and is a very talented fighter.
I am with you that Pac needs to get him in the early rounds or Mayweather would win by decision.
Lets hope this fight gets sealed for Nov.
Sorry if it didn't make sense. My head is messed up right now.
Lets try to restate that:
I do not think Paulie would be a good sparring partner for Manny because they fight too similar I believe. Having two people that happen to somewhat fight the same (I think Pac and Paulie fight more like each other then Floyd and Paulie do) to be sparring, really wouldn't be that beneficial to either parties.
Hopefully that made more sense.
Pacquiao & Malignaggi fight the same???

While I like Paulie as a fighter, I do not think he would help Pac Man in any way while sparring. Whatever he has going now, seems to work. Besides, can mayweather stop a southpaw? Mayweather Sr. seems to think not.
I dont think this really made much sense
Im the original Malignaggi fan. If you go back in the day on here, I was the 1st one hyping him when everyone else was calling him a bum ass club fighter. Some still feel that way but most give him some props even if they dont think he's that great. He fights a little like Floyd but more like a right hand version of Sweet Pea, atleast he use to. I love pure boxers and he was as pure as they come. I thought he would give Cotto hell and to me he did. I think he did way way way better in that fight than people give him credit for. He wont alot more rounds than he got credit for.
He then had like another good fight after that but since then its been downhill. He really hit a all time low with McGirt but has since regained form after dumping him. Still, he's not better now than he was back when he fought Cotto. He should not only be better than he was back then but he shouldve grown even more.
He has some very nice boxing skill but is still flawed. He gets hit clean way too much for being a pure boxer and he's just not as well versed as he was coming up. Still a good figher and still may can turn it up and grow again. Its a big fight tonight which is huge for both guys. We shall see
