i mean to have a 130/135lber go up two to three weight classes to fight the most popular fighter in boxing history
of course in hindsight, without the matchup we wouldnt have spectacular finishes like hatton and cotto, and the possibility of mayweather/pac?
who's idea was it anyways?

They have been building Pac for years to try to beat Floyd. Pac would come in on fight night around 142-145 lbs, when he was in his lower weight classes.
DLH didn't give a shit because he knew he was going to get paid over 50 million for the fight.
i predicted a pacQUIAO WIN i thought de la hoya looked like shit against forbes and wasnt the same fighter even without being weight drained i truly think oscar gave all he had left in the mayweather fight
i think oscar wanted to fight pac because of freddie's comment about him not being able to pull the trigger, i could be wrong though.
but don't forget before oscar fought pac he fought steve forbes i think he's a 140 pounder or a lightweight too.
Yea Forbes is a JWW and he fought him at a catch weight of 150.

Larry Merchant
It was Oscar idea, he thought he had an easy fight that was going to be a huge payday. And, he just did not want to fight Margarito. He was scared to death of Margarito.
