Floyd Mayweather Junior's superfight with Manny Pacquiao is back on for November 13.
Pacquiao's manager Bob Arum has revealed that he has pencilled in that date following the resumption of talks between the two sides.
Arum has even provisionally booked the Las Vegas MGM Grand and the Dallas Cowboys' new stadium in Texas for the clash.

Yup. Pac is huge in Dallas. About 90% of his fans were hispanic. Dude was like a Rock Star that night.
It should be in dallas. I mean just imagine the scene/atmosphere for that shit. 120k people for a boxing match compared to 16k at MGM. it would be ****ing insane. The atmosphere for the pac-clottey fight was amazing now imagine adding 70k more people and Floyd Mayweather jr. OMFG!!!!!!
The way i see it, Pac goes into his fight with Mayweather with major disadvantages:
1) Pac is shorter - 5'6 1/2" vs. 5'8"
2) Pac has shorter reach by 5"
3) Pac is susceptible to counters (see: EVERY fight he's ever had, vs. JMM)
4) Pac is susceptible to left hooks (see: destroyed right ear vs. Cotto)
5) Pac is susceptible to straight rights (see: vs. Morales, vs. Clottey)
6) Pac has known weakness to body attack (KO'd with body shot)
7) Pac hasn't shown ability to fight or handle a fighter moving backwards (see: EVERY fight he's ever had)
Unlike Shane Mosley, Pac doesn't have 1, or 2, or 3, or 4 punch KO power (see: all Pac TKOs... other than Hatton, Pac has not stretched any opponent over 140 pounds and all of them finished the fight on their feet after rounds of flush combinations from Pac. Even at lower weights, Pac TKOs almost all from accumulation)
9) Pac throws a lot, lands a little (Pac's total connect percentage almost always <35%)
10) Pac has no jab, eats the jab (see: every Pac fight, vs. Morrales, vs. Cotto)
These are just the 10 off the top of my head. Now can someone tell me which one of these does NOT play into Mayweather's hands? Can someone provide a SANE argument for why Manny will beat Mayweather if they meet?
Let's look at some other issues:
1) Pac beat DLH and Hatton in more impressive fashion than Floyd - let's look at the tape:
Pac/Hatton @140, Floyd/Hatton @147 - Floyd fought a bigger, stronger version of Hatton. Oh, that's right, 140 was Hatton's "best weight." So, let me get this straight... Pac can move up TWO weight classes from the Diaz fight and be FASTER and MORE COORDINATED while Hatton moves up ONE weight class and suddenly can't fight? Hatton walks around at 190... so am I supposed to believe that having 7 MORE pounds of muscle wouldn't have helped him in his fight against Floyd? And, if that is the case, how is it that Pac can do what almost NO fighter does by going up TWO weight classes and not lose any speed or coordination?
2) Pac/DLH @147, Floyd/DLH @154 - Am I now supposed to believe that Pac beating DLH at 147 was a better win than Floyd beating DLH at 154? DLH walks around at 160-165. He hadn't made 147 in over six years. No question that Floyd's win over a younger, stronger DLH was a better quality win.
3) Pac vs. Cotto @145 catchweight - Pac fought DLH at 147, but made Cotto come down to 145. Why? If the two pounds didn't make a difference, why not fight him at 147?
4) Pac "destroyed" Clottey @147 - OK, Pac throws 1200 punches against a stationary opponent, hammers his body and DOESN'T KO him? Pac's supposedly vicious body attack could not get Clottey to drop his guard... where was all of Pac's vaunted punching power? And how do you land only TWENTY PERCENT against a guy who isn't punching back? Even if you make the excuse that Clottey was in his shell, wouldn't a guy with Pac's supposed power and open access be able to get Clottey to drop his guard?
5) Pac's "KO" power - Other than Hatton, who has Pac KO'd with one punch... or two... or three... or four, etc. DLH and Cotto were still standing after being nailed with flush combination after flush combination. Diaz only succumbed to Pac's assault after 9 brutal rounds of pummeling. Pac stunned Cotto with two flush counters and couldn't get him to sit down even after 12 rounds. Clottey took 1200 of Pac's best and he looked better after the fight than Pac. Shane Mosley has a history of stunning and KOing people with one punch... Pac doesn't. PERIOD.
I'm still trying to figure out why people think Pac will beat Mayweather. Mayweather recuperated immediately after getting hit with two SSM right hands... am I supposed to believe Pac is a harder puncher even though there is absolutely no proof of that?
Let's put the nuthugging behind us and address the issues. If Pac fans are serious, then someone PLEASE offer some RATIONAL reason why Pac will beat Floyd.
I agree Pac has been shorter in most fights. He's won most of them. His opponents have had reach advantage.Still he's won most of them.He is susceptible to counters but he still won.Susceptible to left hooks he stood i nfront of Cotto and oh yea...he still beat Cotto.Yea he's susceptible to right straights and he still won the fight.Yea he was KO'd w/a body shot...how long ago was that?Has he been hurt by a body shot since then?YOu say he cant fight going backwards.agreed. but i could have sworn he's on a winning streak.Youre right he does throw a lot.35% of 1000 punches is still 350 landed.Who's arguing Floyd win over Oscar was more impressive than Mannys?Fighting Hatton at 147 isnt the same as fighting him at 140.Those 7lbs arent muscle.Yea Manny doesn't ahve KO power. So why is everyone saying hes on PEDS n knocking people out left and right? So yea...i agree w/most of the stuff you said, but you never know who's going to win until they fight.
If this fight happen It damn sure won't happen it in the new Cowboy Stadium which is Arum first choice because Jerry Jones money is long and mostly Pac fans would be there just like the Clottey fight

You actually made some valid point but this entire paragraph is nonsense. Hatton is better at 140 which is the reason the majority of his fights were held there. Hes bigger and stronger at 147 yet he chooses to fight at 140 for what reason?

IF this fight Pacqiuao Vs Mayweather Jr goes down and is made official etc etc blah blah i would actually cum in my pants....id be supporting Pacqiuao For This Fight As Well

bs.. i bet arum is trying to fool the public again. Hes acting like he wants the mayweather fight but the truth is hes setting up a Margarito-Pacquiao clash in Texas
umm why wouldn't he want the mayweather fight? that makes so much money for him, way more than El Matador would.
Pac has a chance because of his work rate. He won't stop throwing punches and fights Floyd's style like Mosley and many others do. He also has some of the best footwork in the game, to go along with the fastest hands in the game. If Floyd tries to bring to the fight to Manny like he did against Mosley, he might be in trouble. Floyd's best chance to fight his usual defense, safety first style. If he doesn't, Floyd could be eating lighting fast combinations all night.

However stumbling blocks remain and Mayweather has not dropped his demands that Pacquiao is blood tested and the Filippino's legal action against Pretty Boy's camp over allegations he has used drugs remains.
Arum hopes both sides will drop their objections to allow the fight to go ahead for the sake of boxing.
"When two sides negotiate in good faith, beautiful things can happen," he said. "The fight we want to do is the Mayweather fight. There is no question that is the fight the public wants."
Arum claims he expects Pacquiao to have three more fights before quitting and his trainer Freddie Roach says he should get out after Mayweather.
"Both those guys are coming near the end and I'd like Manny to fight Mayweather and quit," he said.
Hmm. We'll see what comes of this later today.
Do you think Arum has a blow up doll of Haymon sitting across from him when he starts these negotiations? Or does he have a scriptwriter issue this kind of nonsense?
