i believe larios moved up from super bantam to superfeather to fight pacquiao 2 weight classes was that a good win for pacquiao ? better then floyds over marquez ?
Actually it does mean something. It means that they are probably fighting at or near the same weight as one another.
And even if you don't buy my argument, not every TWO weight class jump has the same gap in weight. And it's more apparent in this argument. 122-130 = 8 lbs. 135-147 = 12 lbs.
But its still two weight classes.
122lbs - 130lbs is still TWO weight class so ssshhh with your could be argued it was 1 class
"fought at pretty much an even weight come fight night (judging by their physical appearance)" << that means nothing its your opinion not fact

Well for one, moving from 122 to 130 is only 8 lbs. And larios had already made plans to move to 126 anyway before hand so one could argue it really was just a 1 weight class jump. Don't believe me? check his record and notice how he never went back down to 122 after the fight with pacquiao. They also both came in at 129 and fought at pretty much an even weight come fight night (judging by their physical appearance).
Now moving from 135 to 147 is 12 lbs. Wait... wasn't there a catch weight of 144? Oh wait there wasn't, only JMM seemed to think that because floyd seemingly wasn't informed. Now lets move on to actual fight night weight where JMM was clearly dwarfed by floyd. JMM claimed in the post fight press conference that floyd had 20 lbs on him. Whether it's true or not remains to be seen since floyd has recently developed a habit of not being weighed on fight night. What is true though is that he had a distinct size advantage on JMM that night, and any person with a set of eyeballs can tell you it's at least 10-12 pounds if not more.
:lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1:
what? you don't know that? pac was the 122 lb ibf champ i think, larios was wbc and joan guzman wba or some other alphabet org...at the same time. pac and guzman were just more successful going up in weight.
floyd and jmm were both champs at 130 & 135 but not at the same time...that's the difference.
^^ but larios last fight was at s.bantam which he lost then fought pac at s.feather. I personally think Floyds win over marquez was a better win due to him being a better fighter then larios and being p4p 2 at the time
Oh by no means am I saying Pac over Larios was a great win for Pac. It clearly isn't. Just stating that he'd had success, though briefly, at that higher weight before, unlike Marquez who never even fought at JWW, let alone WW. Neither win means much to me.

people should realize that pac & larios were at one time superbantam champions AT THE SAME TIME. pac just happened to have success moving up in weight.
There was no difference. Alot of people on this site didnt even know who Pac was when he fought Larios so thats why it gets no mention. He got hurt in that fight too cant remember the round though.
