IMO Pac has a good chance against any fighter of any era, cause as we know "anything can happen in boxing".
But most people who do these fantasy matches, do so over an eentire career not just the recent events. Because the pre 135 Pac had huge trouble with boxers/couter punchers, and his activity slowed after maybe 6 rounds.
Pac gets hit a lot and often, the fighters of the past seemed to commit and sit on their punches. By leaving himself open and being as wreckless as he is at times, id see him losing to the more elites. I also see him being able to hold his own in many situations.
In all id give him a 50/50 in past eras, I see that as fair.
But the new version of Pac is different, it seems all the Pac fans are stuck on the new Pac like the old Pac never was. I see all the Hatton, Cotto, Oscar followers but nothing before that.
The new Pac gets 50/50, the pre 135 Pac 30/70 IMO.
What is it in Pacquiao Style that makes him lose every fantasy fights?
Is it because he gets hit a lot or because of his size?
1) pac is too small
2) any pre-135 version of pac is susceptible to big punchers
3) any pre-135 version of pac is too one-dimensional to hang with any ATG non-brawlers
Is a bunch of nonsence. Pac has the kinda style and is good enough to beat somebody like Arguelly and Pryory.. He could also lose to both of course but could also beat both... But, you leave it to some posters and they think both beats Pac easily which is nonsense.
What gets me is that I have heard Pac loosing to fighters who are not even ATG's. I even heard he losses to prospects like Jorge Linares which is just ridiculous.
In fantasy fight Pac would even lose to great Brian Sutherland.
In reality, we have people like Floyd Mayweather ducking Pac (accusing him of being on PED).
