If packy & clottey did above the million and sugar vs mayweather only did few thousands more buys...
for me that means that being honest...
packy > mayweather.
Sugar aint a draw, but he was WAY WAY MORE FAN BASE THAN CLOTTEY... plus sugar vs may had more buzz than packy vs clottey...
still, there was no big difference in the numbers of ppv buys.
packy's fan base > money may's
thats all...
:boxing: + :firedevil
Read the thread.
you obviously didnt read it.... since this matter was cleared in 5 post...

Mayweather sells more against common opponents.
Mayweather sells more against no-names (Baldomir/Diaz).
Mayweather….sells more.
I dont think its solely the stadium but the event, the signifigance of it being the first fight in the new arena,
getting to see a fighter they wouldn't normally in Pacquiao (even though this is his I think 3rd fight in texas) is the biggest part but other factors weigh in as well
I'm talking about PPV
But as in being in there, then yeah I guess so.
I think it is domi.. since ....
we cant compare orange with apples...
we havnt seen the same scenario... or did we????
can somebody put the hatton vs packy numbers and hatton vs may.. i cant remember those !! :boxing:
I hate to be the bearer of bad news,but...Floyd has outsold Pacquiao with every common opponent.Considering all the hype Manny is getting,I would say that Floyd is definitely being under-rated by a lot of people...he still outshines Manny with ppv's and doesn't have half the b.s. hype that Manny has received recently.
So?
Who the **** wants to pay 55 dollars to see a stadium?

You guys overrate 24/7 way too much. The show is good for casual fans, but they didn't start selling millions because of 24/7. They started to sell millions because they became superstars and became household names. They would still sell millions without 24/7.
but bro thats exactly what 24/7 is about
getting the casual fan to tune in and they do
let's be honest
as paltry as 300k buys sounds do you think without a 24/7 Jones Calzaghe would have done anywhere near that?
heck without 24/7 it should have been in wales and free for US viewers
floyd-mosley..doubled manny-clottey...and manny clottey was the first fight at cowboy stadium

Seems like your mood is not mellow today. Lolz. War mellow_mood.

soo... since page one .. this matter was already clear!!!!!!!!!!!
still they see me rolling they hating!!!! right TCN SOUL JAH!! :lol1:
Well thats oversimplifying things.
The 24/7 shows ofcourse helps to draw people to buy the event. But only the biggest fights get these shows to begin with. They would have bigger drawpower even without the shows.
Im just going by the PPV list that was posted earlier. The average PPV was 350K. The 24/7 promoted fights took a huge leap.

They became superstars and household names to casual fans yes, which helped the sales. Look at the numbers prior to the 24/7 fights. They average 350K.
Again, there is nothing wrong with that, it a good promotion. Look at the numbers on PAcs PPVS, and compare the Pac PPVS with 24/7, huge difference.
It works, i don't see why it so hard to swallow those facts.

jesus christ!!!!! You are painfully stupid.
I don't know what's soo offensive if your favorite fighter isn't as "popular" as the next.
Mayweather and his fans have no one to blame but Mayweather. He's just not that fun to watch. Granted that Mosley fight was a rare case, but that was mostly due to the fact Mosley showed he can Knock down, if not Knock out Mayweather. But after that it was a typical pot-shot fest. It was a more active Mayweather, but I don't see why everyone got all moist over that fight.
No it wasnt. Floyd stood firm and planted his feets ready to engage and exchange. The mosley vs mayweather fight was an exciting performance on floyds part.
And Floyds popularity is not really the topic. I think most people realise Pacquiao has more fans or are "loved" by more people.
This is about who is a bigger draw (as in who generate more money). You can have 0 fans and still be the biggest draw in boxing. As long as people hate you enough to tune in.

there is a point to be made for the 24/7 argument. Those numbers your showing are pretty average until the 24/7 fights come up. DLH, Hatton, JMM, all 24/7 help. Nothing wrong with that, it's an awesome promotional tool, but according to those numbers shown, 24/7 makes a huge difference.
