6 reason why Williams is crying in bed everynight:
1st.... He doesn't rematch Martinez after their first fight, which would of been an pretty big anticipated rematch
2nd.... He then goes on to demands a 50/50 split with Pavlik thinking Pavlik's team would give in since it was a fight in high demand but they don't and Williams prices himself out and Pavlik takes the Martinez fight instead
3rd.... He then has to watch Martinez (they guy he just beat) destroy Pavlik and watch Martinez win the title and get the recognition and praise that he's actually been striving to get for himself for years now
4th... Now Williams can't even negotiate a fight with Pavlik or Martinez because of the rematch clause in their contacts from the first match and they might be tied up in a rematch which will consume them for the rest of the year
5th.... He predicts Mosley to KO Floyd (haha this one is not so bad but funny nonetheless)
and last but not least 6th... Williams is left to fight Kermit Cintron which ends being the worst fight of the year so far, and people are questioning the score cards in his favor for the fight as well
... smh hasn't been a good year for the Punisher
i used to think pav would beat him also but the version of pav that fought martinez wouldve got his ass kicked.im not a paul fan but he comes to fight and takes a good punch
not even close. its a bad match up for williams stylistically speaking. he's a pressure fighter at his best. there would be no doubt in my mind that pavlik ko's him.
williams's problem is he keeps jumping from division to division. he needs to stay in a division, fighting the top flight opponents in those divisions, beating them, so then it appears to be indisputable that the top dogs in that division HAVE to fight him. if he stayed at welter he would have disposed of clottey, berto, possibly shane all ready.
In all actuality Pavlik would of not only beat Williams he woulda knocked him out... Williams is wayyyyyy to easy to hit, leans in with his punches to, doesn't use his height, and doesn't have the speed to box Pavlik for 12 rounds, the power to keep him back, or the chin to take his punches... Williams woulda been the one jumping out the ring that night lmao

He won.
Got paid and is looking for bigger scraps. The heck are you talking about?
If you can't see the L's Williams have taken in the past few months then your blinded by love... He didn't get the Pavlik fight twice, Floyd and Manny aren't even thinking about him let alone considering him as an option, he beat Martinez then Martinez goes on to win the title he wanted and beat the opponent he wanted to beat :pat:... He has a shitty as fight with Cintron that like 100 people attend... Much similar to how he beat Margarito and then Margarito goes on to get the big match with Cotto and become the #1 welterweight... The Punisher just can't catch a break

He also talked a TON of shit about Clottey after the Pac fight and this was just after he refused to rematch Martinez when he knew he lost. He was calling Clottey a coward and this and that but thats a bit rich coming from him after his recent stunts.
He won.

pretty much. a couple things didn't go perfectly for him. you can tell he wasn't satisfied with the cintron fight ending early, but what more can you ask for?
ya'll *****s mad... I'm just telling the truth, I like Williams but it's the damn truth he's had a shitty ass year
He won.

Sure thing Buddy. I think it's safe to say that Paul Williams is sleeping much better than you at night.
What a stupid thread.

On top of that Williams has been pretty lackluster lately, he is no longer a threat and has shown that he can easily be beaten, he looked lethargic against Cintron and I don't think HBO will be backing him up after this too much.
I honestly believed Williams deserved to be top 10 p4p but after last saturday hes off my list
His impressive power doesnt seem to carry against top level opposition, now Cintron is a better fighter than many people give him credit for but I thought he won enough of those rounds to get the nod. Williams needs to adopt a Hearns like style or hes going to get his myth busted. If he learned to fight tall and sharpen up his defense, because he can be somewhat slick hed be a force
154 seems to suit Kleka Cintron better, 147 he was just weaker.

the worst part is that pavliks camp originally wanted the fight pushed back 2 weeks and williams camp said no.paul couldve been the undisputed mw champ which wouldve got him big fights between 154 - 168.really stupid move

good thread, just wondering what williams would look like now at 147, isnt he 6ft 2/3 lol... dehydrated stick insect comes to mind. though the big dude states he can make the weight, personally i think he,d have major problems
