like you said, he was winning the fight. he knew pwill comes on strong late. he thought if it went to a decision right then he'd get the win.

This forum is going down the drain with ignorant posts like this. Too many 15 year olds or ignorant ****ers
It's hard to say exactly what happened but there are a few different scenarios:
1). An opportunity arose (him laying outside the ring) and he thought he was winning on the scorecards and he thought if he faked his injury he would win.
2). He was milking his fall for more time and trying to appear more hurt then he was, but it totally backfired because he basically was motionless, which doctors will always take seriously.
3). He was truly hurt.
I think 1 & 2 are the likely scenarios as he clearly wasn't badly hurt or else he wouldn't have been throwing a temper tantrum on the stretcher and also walking/talking perfectly normally just a short time after the fight.
Also, one would think that if he wanted to fight, all he had to do was GET UP. He made no attempt to get up at all, so he has no one to blame but himself.
you can hear in between rounds his corner man clearly tells him that "you're winning the fight" So Cintron probably truly believed he was winning and so when the opportunity presented itself as you said he milked it and figured he'd get a gift decision.
i'm glad his gamble did not pay off.
I dont think he purposely took the fall....lol.... cmon guys.... hes was winning the fight so why would he quit?
