I can't believe people bought the most avoided man in boxing crap. People didn't face him because he has no fans and is a waste of time to face him but now as you can see people are stepping up and we are finding out he has no defence and no punching power. He is a human punching bag right now.
thats probably a bit harsh! hes not that bad! but then again hes not as good as some people make him out to be. i know burner ranks him over JMM, which i find ridiculous! Mayweather would probably take him to school. He might stand a better chance with pacquiao, but id probably still pick pacquaio by tko. I think if he wants to go back to 147, him and mosley should have a scrap, see how he does?
it looked like kermit was gonna fold later in the fight and with him hanging on for dear life pauls output would just increase.
idk....either that, or
cintron catches him flush, and ends the hype.
Lets see: Sergio Martinez, Antonio Margarito, Winky Wright, Puto Cintron.
I didn't know a bum would be able to beat those guys.
Martinez: close fight that could have been a draw or win for Martinez (I had Martinez by a rd), Paul looked like a beaten man after that fight and had to have surgery to repair his face, clearly not a decisive victory
Cintron: Fight went all of three rds and Cintron won every rd. Paul looked confused and did not land more than 10 punches so I don't know where the judges got their scores from.
Margs: Williams had to hold on in the final few rds to win by like 2 or 3 rds against a much slower guy with a height and reach disadvantage.
Williams has no really dominating wins over top competition with the exception of Quintana who is a contender and an aged Wright and Phillips, who are both past their primes and Wright had not fought in like 2 years prior to the Williams fight.
My god some boxing fans are fickle...the fight had only gone 3 rounds anything could have happened as the fight got started....because of some freak accident peeps start talking all this crap bout williams
just like otha week when everyones on shanes nuts an then he loses and there like' he werent all tht 'i knew he was shot already...ect' yet the night before these same people are claiming mayweathers getting ko'd

pwill is so avoided, that his opponents will jump out of the ring to avoid him
His team claims he's actually best at 147.
Which I found weird.
I think they are relying on memory more than his current situation. If they continue to play with fire, they will get burned.
Williams is a freaking hype job. He got worked over by Martinez and the judges made sure that Williams was getting the W, and Cintron won every round of the fight last night (maybe lost the last rd) and one of the judeges had him winning every rd like in the Martinez fight. Paul could not get off and he was going to get crushed if that fight went 12 rds........Boxing is corrupt man for real.
And I hate Cintron but the guy deserved that win
finally...someone w/ common sense. :boxing:
Williams has contributed to this "most avoided" tag through his own decisions.
He says he can still make 147, but why did he move up to 154 after regaining the WBO belt from Quintana?
Margarito fought only a month after against Cotto and became the no1, Williams could have forced the issue by re-matching him and becoming the man at 147.
I personally think he is a good fighter that gives anyone from 147-160 trouble, but I can never see him dominating or ruling a division.
On another note, he also seemed really dry in there last night. I would not be surprised if he needs to fight at 160 now. He is no longer a young fighter and has to play smart. Pavlik paid a big price for hanging on to his belts and weight class too long. Paul might pay a price if he continues to hang out with the smaller guys.
I personally think all the weight hopping is having an effect on Williams. He seemed a bit gunshy in there and his timing was way off.
It is almost like he knows he has some vulnerabilities now and does not go all out like he used to.
He should either stay at 154 or 160, get in a confidence building fight or two and settle in.

Williams taxed Martinez's ass and that's why he got the W.
Cintron quit last night and that's why Paul got the W.

He fights hard and makes no excuses. You guys bitch about everything smh.
It's a shame. Paul Williams is one of only a handful of pure all out action fighters in boxing and people still find a way to hate.
Williams is still a handful. Last nights fight might as well be a wash. No one knows for sure if Cintron was going to fold reardless of what history tells us.
Kermit was boxing well from a distance anyway. He's clearly improved.
we do know for sure if cintron would have folded. he folded when he jumped out of the god damn ring after tasting three power shots.
