Mike Tyson told the ladies of The View that he's "totally broke" after excessive spending and having "a lot of fun."
The retired boxer says he is now struggling to make ends meet and is living paycheck to paycheck. However, he's absolutely content living with his third wife Lakiha Spicer and their 16-month-old daughter, Milan.
Tyson says:
"I'm totally destitute and broke. But I have an awesome life, I have an awesome wife who cares about me. I'm totally broke. I had a lot of fun. It (going broke) just happened. I'm very grateful. I don't deserve to have the wife that I have; I don't deserve the kids that I have, but I do, and I'm very grateful."
Tyson said it best when he said he can only live on one end of a spectrum. There is no in between. Either he is extremely rich or flat out broke.
FWIW he is not broke as he lives in a nice home and has a guy handling his finances. Tyson is on an allowance to prevent him from having the money problems he has had in the past. (smartest move he ever made IMO).
Also he had a good support system, his current wife along with his friends and family. Tyson is good and I'm glad because he is and will always be my favorite fighter.

Tyson said that with tongue in cheek. He doesn't have nearly the amount of money he used to but he is far from "destitute and broke" His houses and cars tell another story. By his standards he might be broke but a lot of people would trade places with him.
ONE MORE MATCH!! Tyson still has at least one more fight in him. Hell, put him up against Monk Foreman. Tyson vs Foreman would do 1 million buys on name alone.

Here Mike, have this....:bottle:
paycheck to pay check? What paychecks is Tyson getting? Does he have a job we dno't know about?

Well as a great former heavyweight champ, he gets paid for just making appearances, so that is probably where the money is coming from.
Dude said it himself on the documentary. Either he needs a lot of money or no money, he's never had it in the middle.
I still think he would be amazing for HBO, they need to at least give him a try before signing a contract. The guy knows more about boxing than most people. When it comes to technique and history, Mike is perfect for this job.
Mike is a fukking Boxing Encyclopedia.
Dude may not know not much else, but he knows the sport.
At times I think he can be surprisingly well spoken too.
Would be a great replacement for Lewis

Thats the sad reality of the sport, they milk you for all you got, and then toss you to the side when you are done. In any case Mike made alot of money so it is inexcusable that it happened, but I saw this interview with Kevin Rooney where he was saying that Mike's biggest mistake was not listening to Cus and staying with the people that he had told him to stay with. He was saying that if he ad listened to Bill Cayton, that Tyson woul have exceeded Jordan in endorsements. He made a god point that when he was with Cayton, you were seeingthe endoresement deas like Pepsi, Kodak, Nintendo, etc but after he left wit Kng you didn't see hat anymore, as Don had no interest in Tyson making any money unless he was getting a cut. Here is the interview below for those that want to see it, part 3 is where he starts talking about the money aspect if you just want to jump to that, but I recommend watching the whole hing:

Not the first time a fighter who made millions got broke. And wont be the last. But shame he got broke so young. If he was 90 and broke it might not matter so much.
Suppose hes got to work still.
