Why are ya'll always hyping this dude? He is an average fighter. We've seen him exposed how often now? Martinez, Quintana, hell his win over Margarito wasn't that convincing. Stop overrating him, OK?
Calzaghe, was sloppy, uncoordinated and he had bad balance and an ugly style. He threw ALOT of punches. But it works for him which proves my point that you dont have to be this master technician to be a good fighter and I dont even like Calzaghe.
I dont get how people who follow Floyd can diss Calzaghe?
What Zags did to Roy Jones after getting knocked down early was an exact replica of Mayweather/Mosley. Zags adjusted on the fly, and outslicked Roy for the next 10 rounds. How can you not see this?
He is as much a technician as Floyd is.
Paul Williams isn't as big as people think. No way does he belong at 168/ 175, he has the frame to build himself to compete at those divisions but that would take years.
Calzaghe was a superior boxing technician who could adjust to overcome any style.

How did Armstrong fight? Calzaghe? Hatton? I know you only follow Floyd but every fighter doesnt have to be a boxing technician to be a good fighter.

this is what ive been telling people....P Will has been getting credit for dropping to lower weights and fighting Smaller fighters because he has an advantage over them phyisically....Floyd has MOVED up 5 weight classes, P will has moved down 2......Why isnt this guy in the SMW tourney?
:dunno:
Whats wrong with moving down? I never got what was wrong with that?
He just weighed 152 for a JMW fight why in Gods name should he be at 168?
Boxing has weight classes bro. If you watched Paul before you would know he RARELY uses his height.
He is the product of Boxing Scene forums. If Paul loses to Kermit tonight...
No Ceilings: "He overlooked him. He'll knock him out in 1 round in the rematch."
If he loses he loses. Its boxing bro losses happens.
I changed it back to 1st round. :D
If Martinez can knockdown and badly hurt Williams in the 1st round, just imagine what a Prime Hearns would do to him.
To this day I still could not believe Marvelous took all those bombs from him and just shrugged it off.
I never said Williams should move up to HW. I said he has a HW frame. He should move up and pick on someone his own size.
Hearns fought at super middleweight, light heavyweight and cruiserweight.
Williams is still picking on midgets at 147 and 154.
Prime 4 Prime...Hearns brutally KOs Williams in the 1st round
Size is defined by weight. He has a naturally slim frame. Your suggesting that he should put on excessive weight and thus making him a blown up fighter from 168 +. That would put him a disadvantage against natural fighters of those weights even if he was the same height.
I love how you ignore he was all set to fight Pavlik at 160, a big middleweight.
The fact is that he could have stayed at 147 this entire time but he was willing to jump 2 classes and fight the best of the best but that's still not enough.
But why am I bothering...

LOL at changing it from 1 rd to within 3 rds.
I won't argue with you on this point.
Williams is more of a freak then Hearns as far as height in reach is concerned. Think Herns was a couple inches shorter, Pwill is 6'3 with a longer reach. I don't care he is an exciting fighter. Makes for good fights to watch. He is just very skinny, funny thing though his shoulders look big to me.
Williams (82" reach) has longer reach than the Klitschkos (Wlad 81", Vitali 80")
Paul "The Punching Bag" Williams is nowhere near the Klitschkos level
And I don't wanna hear about that p4p bullshit. The p4p rankings are a joke. American media favors American boxers.
Williams has a heavyweight frame and he's picking on little men at 147 and 154...that's coward and pathetic. If Williams grows some balls and moves up to where he should be fighting he will get expoised again and brutally KTFO....Guranteed.
Tommy Hearns has a similar frame to Williams.
Should Tommy have fought in the heavyweight division too?

He just weighed 152 Pounds for a 154 Ppound fight why should be at 168 again?
Both Klitschko have great skills
Watch Chambers completely dominate undefeated 6'7 250 lbs Dimitrenko
Then go watch Wlad completely dominate every round and brutally KO Chambers
The Klitschkos are so dominant because they have great skills
The same Chambers who knocked him out?
People talk more on here about what Paul can do than what he's actually done, so he comes off as overrated. He's good though and has a decent res going for him already.
Agreed.
Paul "The Punching Bag" Williams is average at best.
If you take away his ridiculous height and reach advantages, he's a poor man's Kassim Ouma.
What if you take away Wlads and Vitali height and reach?
See how easy that was.

If both Vladimir and Wlad were 4 inches shorter in height and reach, I wonder if they'd be as successful.
